Player C did not purchase any bonds to sell.
Player A now has an ingame advantage over Player C due to Irl wealth.

NOW, this is NOT necessarily a bad thing, up to a point...
Jagex, you can make this work for you.
Firstly, set aside some items that will be off limit to cash users, preferably higher level and more exclusive content (at the moment its only untradeable gear change this).
Secondly, make sure that no items of value (non cosmetic or the likes) are only available to paying players. Cash should replace effort, not give you the advantage over hard working players.
Many companies are changing their business model from the traditional pay for membership model, to the buy ingame items model.
I can assume you have done the math and discovered that this method can make more money than by only selling membership. In this case, increase item sales in game, but keep it reasonable, and make membership free.
Free membership access will increase you player base hugely (if combined with adverts on the right websites).
The only concern is the betrayal of your long term players, and how you have turned your back on them and become what you said you never would. This seems to be a risk you are very willing to take.
I really hope somebody working at Jagex reads this and takes this into account although I know the chances are almost zero as this is located well past the hundredth page. Please respond if you read this.
