Jagex has been known to make 75 million dollars profit per year, let me say that again 75 MILLION DOLLARS PER YEAR .

If I ran a game company and made that much money I'd have the best servers and ddos protection available. Jagex is too greedy to invest in better servers/ddos protection, instead they'd rather buy army tanks and stupid **!*....What's wrong with this picture?? You guessed it IVP and/or greed.

@ Jagex, What do you all do with all that profit? It sure as hell isn't spent on good servers or protection for the game, that much is obvious, so where does the money go besides on dumb stuff?

We should all un-subscribe and just play f2p until they decide to do something that'll actually help and not just sit around ignoring everything like they did with the bots for countless years.

You have massively misunderstood the whole issue, please refer to my post for more information. Jagex is doing what they can, but it's extremely limited due to the nature of the issue.

I've been playing this game for a very long time and seen how long it took them to deal with the bots, actually we'd still have bots if it weren't for Jagex hiring a bot maker to help deal with them. Now we have a similar issue with bad servers and bad ddos protection. It'll take them years before they decide to actually improve their servers and ddos protection.

Have you read the post I referred to though?

If you did you'd realize that ultimately, what Jagex can do is very limited. They are upgrading their hardware and they are initiating several things to hinder the attacks, but due to the nature of today's DDoS attacks it is extremely limited what can be done to reduce their effect, let alone stop them completely.

@Mexk, Hi, I just read a thread on Reddit called "Mod Balance completes server upgrades... that was submitted 59 minutes ago by Mod Balance that is discussing the Network issues. I just posted about that thread on my Jmod Tidbits Found On Reddit thread. The Jmod comments that have been made to the Reddit thread thus far can be found on that thread.

Once such Jmod reply indicates that players can submit a claim for item losses associated with these issues:

Mod Balance (28 minutes ago): "If you've lost items as a result of service disruption, like DDoS attacks, then submit a claim for an item return." Links to Wiki article: Technical Support - Lost Items

In addition, Mod Balance states: (44 minutes ago): "Our SysAdmin team have just returned from installing some incredibly complex hardware in our datacenters to make your experience better. We are working on it... Believe me!"

I assume this is why I was having connection issues on Funorb. If anyone doesn't know what Funorb is, it's a Jagex site where you play games and stuff, but it hasn't had a proper update for a long time.
