Lmao I love arguments like this, because they have barely any logic to them whatsoever.
Do remember the only reason RuneScape's 'Players Online Now' count is at 30k or whatever low number you want to use is because all the bots and gold farmers are now virtually none existent. In 2007, Player count would peak at say, 200K on weekends and holidays, but only around 75k-100K of these would be actually real players sitting behind a Computer or Laptop. The other half or whatever would be bots. Now that bots are gone, the player count will be inevitably lower.
Of course, i'm not dis-counting EoC as a cause for the player count being as low as it is today. Alot of veterans got upset by this sudden change, but alot of people tend to over-exaggerate the impact EoC had on the numbers. People say that "RuneScape is dead because of EoC" but if that really was the case, then I wouldn't be posting this at the moment as the company and the website would of been shut down from the lack of profits they are making.
And don't even get me started on SoF/TH/SGS. They're there to make Jagex Money, money needed to bring out awesome updates. Jagex is a business after all
Of course, everyone has a different opinion on Mod MMG. Some people think he's done good, others think he's done bad. This post was just my logical argument as to why the player count is so low.
