now maybe they can focus on getting back the many hundreds of thousands of players that you had ran off with you're tunnel visioned EoC, I myself only came back a week ago, just to see how the "hype" of legacy mode is and have been highly disappointed from the feedback from those others that have tried to do combat in it, you are/were the top, you alone could have prevented jagex's admitted mistake of releasing EoC, since you had taken office(yes I have been around long before you did) I have seen runescape go from 300k ppl online (got a screenie of 312k) to 2 month's into EoC at 18k ppl online, I will not sugarcoat anything, the implement of micro transactions... ugh enough said.. I do hope the person that replaces does think of whats best for the game, because $$$$ got in your way. you did not listen to the community, you twisted and manipulated the voting of EoC and you lost the majority of the games community because of your overseering actions or non actions.
and before all your fanboi's and crown kissers want to jump in and defend by calling myself a random here are my credintials.....
- when I left at EoC was #23 overall in rankings
- #50 to achieve TRIMMED competionists cape
- stepped down as deputy owner from the #1 overall clan in the game at the time (maxed clan)
- wife and myself became the games 1st irl couple to both become TRIMMED completionists cape owners
- resigned from status of being a player moderator (on good terms) that I held in high regard for many many years because the game had became something that I couldn't promote anymore
Not a random rage by far, i do wish you the best in your next adventures but am kind of hopeful now that your replacement can fix the mistakes and get runescape back to being its former popular glory.
thanks for reading - buck

I couldn't have worded it better, and im so happy to see someone with your status feels EXACTLY the same as I do.

Thanks MMG, I for one think you did a very good job. There were tough decisions to be made and I feel like you've made the right ones most of the times. Next to that you really cared about the game and had actual knowledge about it. The game's never been better than right now in the last 10 years I've been playing. :)

That said, the next CEO probably won't do just as good - I hope jagex appoints one theirselves, if the shareholders decided on a CEO Runescape wouldn't be around for long.

Well this is sudden, such a nice man. :'(

Is there a reason known to why Mod MMG is resigning? Because I'm pretty sure he didn't say it in the news post.

And not to spoil the mood but, I don't think that RuneScape is "virtually bot free". :/

Hmm mixed feelings TBH, but GL anyway. A lot of the things that were done i did not like, but i could see why they were done.. also i see that they learnt from the mistakes and have tried to give back what they took away. Personally i find the constant updates a total pain.. it would be better to have a more balanced update pattern. Good move to let people vote though, that at least makes it feel like a shared decision and not one that gets forced on everyone if they like it or not (EOC v1). Never like Dungeoneering either , thought that was a massive waste of time and resources that could have been used in much better ways for the game.
