On both Reddit and Twitter, Mod Pips (RS_Pips on Reddit, @JagexPips on Twitter) has confirmed that they are planning to release the names next week and there will be an announcement post before it happens, so there is no need to stare at your name list for hours on end yet.

They are already removing the names from the inactive accounts, alphabetical i think.
When you check their availability they appear as 'banned', which means that they are reserved for the release..

Definitely not true alphabetical. Though every name I've seen change so far has started with A.

if the name im looking for does not have a friends chat, the account isnt found in rs3 or 07 highscores does that mean it will be released?

Well, if they were a member within the last two years, but their membership has since ran out, and they haven't logged on since they added free-to-play to the hiscores, then their name will not be released.

Also, not all players have their friend's chat active, so if they have not setup their friend's chat, you wouldn't be able to join it.

So, if you cannot find the player on the hiscores, it means that it is possible that the name will be released, but there are certain circumstances where the name may not be on the hiscores, but it won't be released.

I suggest that you add the names you want onto your ignore list. Then, when the names are released the name on your ignore list will change to something like [#082H8339L].

Good luck getting the name you want, but I suggest you make a list of a couple possible names, just in-case someone gets the name before you.
