I'm extremely disappointed with what happened today... Yesterday I made an effort to wake up early, even though it didn't coordinate at all with my time zone or my work schedule. I ended up wasting my entire day trying to penetrate server lag. I am a mature player and I understand that these things happen, I was upset that my day was wasted, but was relieved that the name I wanted wasn't taken.
Today I've woken up and you've decided to release more usersnames. The username that I've been fighting for for years, "Aaron" was given out today, and someone swooped in and took it. After all my countless hours yesterday (about 8-10 hours) of fighting with struggling servers, this was just the cherry on top. Over the course of 4-6 years I've been emailing the account help email requesting the username "Aaron" because even in past years it was inactive. You guys replied telling me that this day would eventually come, and to keep my eyes open. I guarantee you that if you gave fair notice about today's release, no body could have stood in my way of that username.
I've been playing the game since 2002 and have been actively trying to obtain "Aaron" ever since the display name change update in 2009 (even though ive always wanted it even before then). I've tried to offer the person who took "Aaron" a handsome sum of 1B Eoc rsgp (Frankly that's all that I have
) but he refused my offer.
I'm very disappointed that the username I've striven for over my entire rs playing experience was taken from me because it was released in an "early release" as some sort of an "apology" for what had happened yesterday with the over capacity servers. I don't think that you put much thought into what was done today and you've really disappointed me.
