I doubt their names would even be wanted by other players lol but do they need to contact you in some form to say its ok to release their names, or should i just contact you in some way giving their runescape names and say i have checked with them and they are ok to release, or do they just do nothing and they will be released automatically at some point.
If they meet the criterias, which it sounds like, their names will be released. I assume they have some automatic system for this as I can't imagine going trough tens of millions of names. You don't have to contact Jagex for them to release the names, only if you'd want to keep them and can't remember the login details. As you will have to log in every once in a while to keep your names but it sounds like you're fine either way. Hope this was of any use, I'll blame the time of the day if I completely misunderstood you.
Thanks for that. I'll ask my daughter if she was still wanting her name. I had told her how much runescape had changed so probably she was trying to log in to see, but not intend to play, but if she was wanting to keep it I'll get her to try resetting the pass or something. Her older sister had come back playing in the last 6 months so it is possible she may decide to join us again

this is perfectly fair considering the massive warning runescape is giving out to all players and previous players. if you play the account or still want to log in , simply do so to keep the name or answer to the email
