I dont have a smartphone, and everything i have clicked on so far requires me to have a blackberry device,ipad,ipodtouch,iphone or android devices which i dont have

so how can i download this app onto my pc?

Please add the option to add a device permanently like how JAG used to do. Other than being slightly inconvenient this seems like a cool security feature for our account(s). Thanks for keeping up with the times!

And what if I just don't want it? will i be left with no security on my account once J A G is disabled. Oh and I am not seeing much of a response from Jagex to these posts. Usual situation of "we don't care as long as we get your subscriptions". I am just about fed up with the attitude of those at Jagex it seems you just don't care about the players and your members at all.

I like the concept, but the one issue I have with this is allowing our computer to only be trusted for 30 days. I really wish we could make it indefinite. I only play on my personal computer and no one else has access to this computer, so why not allow me to give access to my account all the time? I know with the authenticator it doesn't take long to get a new code, but it is just frustrating that I have to do it every month. I really think you guys should consider a permanent address ability. Perhaps allow us only 1 permanent address at a time, which can be changed by using a code from the authenticator for people who may get new computers.

Keep JAG and have the new system as a second security option, why not both but one?


Also, if someone for example knows my ******** due keylogging, they can hijack my account now by having a smartphone to scan the code with. With the JAG it was through email and website. My question is, is my smartphone now the replacement of the email system or is my smartphone recognised as back up protection to get my account back if it gets hijacked or if I forget my ********?


What is the use of this system that is better and safer than JAG?

I have no problems with it, but in my opinion JAG was more secure.

I'm so fed up with Jagex with these types of updates... There's absolutely nothing wrong with JAG, and forcing us to remove JAG is stupid... I don't have a smartphone, so why give the best security to people who have money?

Just let us keep JAG and have the Authenticator on the side IF WE WANT TO CHANGE.
