Thank you for going to the trouble to help other players when apparently even Jagex doesnt know how to use the garbage they attempt to force on us. I do not have a smart phone but will, at a future date, attempt to use the pc solution. I have played this account, under various names =) , for almost 10 years. It is the only one I have and ever will have. You say you are not tech savvy, trust me, you are light years ahead of me. I am very angry that, as usual, Jagex thinks it knows what we need/want better than we do. They did not think about the players who dont have smart phones, or about the handicapped players, or the less than tech able players. As with the google chrome thing, they are obviously getting kick back money to try to force their player base to use this. I shouldn't have to buy an app to play a game I'm already paying to play. I am very happy with JAG. I don't know about this instance, but I do know that in the past when an internet concern has made changes like this out of the blue, it's because there has been a data breach on THEIR part with the existing service/security that puts the player accounts at risk. Is this the case Jagex? Rather than say "oh, we screwed up and have potnetially put your years of time and money invested at risk", they just do something like this and expect us to live with it. I object! In the strongest possible terms. This was poorly thought out, poorly implemented, and totaly unnecessary.

ur both wrong it is on topic what u want us to say omg authenticators awesome when no 1 has the means to use it u sir all so needs a slap to ur self it rubs the lotion on its skin or it gets the hose again

Everyone needs to remember that if you don't have a phone or tablet
you can still get it on your computer
by downloading an appropriate program, check the FAQ.

That said, I tried to do that but its really confusing... so I'm still without the authenticator.

That said, I tried to do that but its really confusing... so I'm still without the authenticator. i tried to get the pc version but my virus protection blocks is saying it has viruses i wont get it if my protection blocks it it rubs the lotion on its skin or it gets the hose again
