Not everyone has a smartphone. I have a cellphone but its one of the basic cellphones that you get prepaid minutes on just basically for emergency's and a bit of texting :) Is there a way or going to be a way that we can use the authenticater with just the computer alone?

So in reading Mod Racasse's replies, the issue for people not having a smart phone wasn't really addressed except by saying they won't turn off JAG until as many people as possible have signed up. Bottom line is then that people who don't have smart phones will be unprotected?

like many others i all i have is one computer, and No devices or smartphone

please keep JAG because you will be leaving my account unprotected,so please tell me when you deactive JAG your prepared to put 100's if not 1000's of peoples accounts at risk....including mine which i've spent 8 years on.
There will be no poll or listening to the players, i see you've already made up your mind..

why cant you keep JAG, Why even deactivate it at all..

I want them to address the fact I cant talk and have no use for a cell phone and what I should do

it means we will be left in the dirt and left to fend for our selves it rubs the lotion on its skin or it gets the hose again

they need to think about ALL the players..........not just the one's who can afford the phone's for authenticator.....if they get rid of JAG they had better get something in place for those players who don't have correct phones.

or an even better idea......don't get rid of JAG!!!

Here we go again. You guys get your subscription up, then BOOM!! You drop in an update no one really requested, wasn't voted upon, and will drive more players away. I am a veteran player, but I am considering leaving Runescape after this. Gonna be hard to pay those light bills driving your customer base away. And, just so you know, I thought JAG was the best update you ever put into the game. Keep JAG and respect your "so-called" power to the player year.

I can use this authenticator just fine, but what worries me is the current issue going on now.

If Jagex goes through with this, the player base will surely decrease. It would have been better if this Authenticator was polled rather than a normal update. I hope you figure something out, Jagex.
