My point is that the poll is rigged due to him taking into consideration lower level players who just started and couldn't make a bill even if they could spawn gp 1m at a time and that if you don't have a bill when there are items worth 1 bill (Seismic Wand: 1.2b) nowadays, and there are money making methods that are something like 4-5m an hour? (I'm not sure on this as like I said I don't play, but I've heard it from someone else) you're pretty bad at RS and probably should quit because I don't think there is any hope for you at all.

Also note that I said should, not have, though if you don't have well over abill these days and are of a decent level, you really should start thinking about the future of your RS account.

To clarify, I don't consider someone of your stats high level, I don't think your 75 range, pray, 82 magic, 92 def or 2154 (are you just off tutorial island?) total is anything to write home about. For someone in your position all I can really suggest is that you either spend an hour of training (and with how fast RS is these days, you'll probably max all of those skills) or spend a few dollars on spins and get 99 for no effort.

You think someone with mid-high stats is fresh off of Tutorial Island? I'm not sure I follow or agree. I myself have played regularly since 2005 (when I started my account) with a break in May of 2012 (though I kept my membership to get Mad May stuff) and I'm still not maxed, nor have I ever owned over 34m. I have about 3m in my cash bag now. I have five 99s. I think you're full of crap, myself, for thinking that maxed players need to QUIT RuneScape just because they don't own over a billion GP. That is utterly ridiculous. I mean no offence, but you really need to rethink what you just said. ._.

I play MY way. It's not up to maxed players like you (apparently) to tell me how I play.
Oh, I almost forgot.
Oh, I already forgot.

Agree with you Shiny

I've played from 2002 and i'm still no where near maxed. Granted i've taken long breaks, ranging from months to the longest being about 2 years, doesn't make me any less of a player than someone who is maxed and only started playing within the last 5/6 years.

I'm also not a billionaire but always have and will spend any money i make on consumable skills.

I've played right through RS1 to 3, i remember when i first registered there was one world/server and it only held i think 200 players, i used to sit for 20 minutes clicking login non stop to get in, only to lag out anyway 30 mins later lol Still didn't stop me trying and playing, When rs2 was released i was in 2 minds as to whether i wanted the change but went with it and after a few weeks forgot it was even an updated game, so much easier to play, then RS3 and all the updates in between, they are always good for the game and true players appreciate them.

Thank you MMG for the graphs.

In your final bar graph, you highlight the spike in new players. Yet when I pass through low level training areas, there is a conspicuous absence of players training there. Catherby, Burthrope, Rock Crabs, The open mining areas, The Mining Guild, the majority of the Divination training areas, etc. are mostly vacant. Where are these new folks hiding?

In response to a question on a later post, Worlds 40, 65 and 71 (penguin hunting).

Pretty interesting post, I like graphs and such.

But on another note, I botted 99 Agility and some of fishing sometime in 2012, is there anyway I can get it reset? I regret botting and I wish to train them myself.

If the majority of the playerbase is 19>, why does the voice over guy in the BTS series on the runescape youtube channel sound like he works on kid's tv shows? Other than that, interesting read.

It's very easy to lie about your age. When I first started playing, I was... I think I was 11-12; at that point you still needed to be 13 to start playing. I'm 18 now, but the game almost certainly has me listed as 20.

I'm probably taking this post more seriously than it deserves, but oh well.

Strange. I haven't noticed that. Nor would I consider the Mining Guild a low-level training area, since it requires 50 Mining to get in. Ditto Rock Crabs or Catherby.

Regardless, what worlds do you normally use?

Contact support and hope they don't ban you.
A Zamorakian lorehound, probably.

Perhaps many of the <100s are still in non-members? If you ever visit an F2P world you might see some. I didn't move to members until I finished all the F2P quests.

Once people become members I'd guess that citadels give good xp. They might even pay better.

I have started to notice more low levels in members - but I still see a lot more party hats than noobs...(...7 years ago you'd see a party hat every couple of weeks or so. Now you see more. [edit: Quick count... In fact there are 5 party hats in the last 6 pages of this thread. {edit. edit: 3 of the 5 had beards; 2 of those 3 were moaning about something.}])
