Heavy Doob: It's extremely hard on the eyes and brain to have to read in all caps. Also, though I don't disagree with an oversaturation of god-related material, I can't say I
do
agree with the rest of that mess of a post.
Oh, I almost forgot.
Oh, I already forgot.

I wasn't really active much in 2013, I've mostly been on the forums and in-game whenever I have the free time.
Pros:
~ Bots are mostly gone.
~ NIS which vastly improved the games graphics and up to date technology.
~ Divination skill.
~ BBC codes and new implementation to the forums.
Cons:
~ SoF advertising, give-aways, etc.
~ Fewer quests.
~ Not really giving the players the choice to go with the EoC,
which
was a big change to most of us and took time to adjust.
That's really all that came to mind to me, but I'm definitely looking forward to 2014.
Pros for 2013: The World Wakes -- a wonderful quest in the true Runescape fashion
Cons for 2013: The new user interface -- I hate it so much I'm letting my over a decade long uninterrupted membership expire.
There was a huge amount of content released in 2013, however it's unfortunate that our mods have not realized that quality content tops quantity of content every time.
Quests are my favorite part of RuneScape, and while I would have like to have seen more quests, the quests which we did get were for the most part high quality quests. I enjoyed the fact that they were lore heavy and, in the case of TWW and MPD, game changing.
This ushered in the World Events which are in themselves game changing. While WE1 was a bit long, WE2 seems to be about on target for length (with the exception of maybe adding a couple of days to allow completionists to obtain both sets of rewards if they so desire). Both are epic in their own right, WE1 being more immersive in the battle itself since the action took place on the battlefield while WE2 is more interactive with the traveling around to the structures and the convoys. The only thing I really dislike about WE2 is that a god will die before there has been sufficient character development and this cuts down on future content that could have been done with that god.
Player Owned Ports are another update which I am particularly pleased about. I like that I was able to obtain high tier sets of armour through my skill levels rather than through bossing or having to buy them at the GE.
The new skill of Divination isn't particularly fast but is rather relaxing in that it isn't click intensive and allows players to chat to one another while moving around and leveling up. I'm looking forward to using Divination as it will relate to the Inventor skill.
Regarding SGS/SoF, the only aspect which I was particularly unhappy about was the graphical changes done to the Loyalty Outfits when the SGS and Loyalty Shoppe were merged and the inability to retrieve the physical Loyalty Outfits after the merge. In almost all cases, the SGS override versions are inferior color wise to the original Loyalty Outfits.
I also appreciate the small ninja updates that are often included in weekly updates.
Thank you to the Jagex team for your dedication in 2013. I'm looking forward to 2014.

Zanik: The surface is a strange and wonderful place! We should embrace it...
I quit for for months maybe an entire year and i must admit, a lot has changed but i feel its in the right direction. Its a shame players only look at what can be improved instead of all the things that have been improved. Goodjob jagex
