I have been wanting a mobile app of this type for a long time now. One major gripe for me is that it isn't downloadable.

I'd like to see a downloadable app as I think this would save mobile data usage when using it on the go (as this is what it's designed for).

It could also then have features like xp tables/world map that could be stored locally so no loading times.

Other features I'd love to see built into an app

- Forums
- A log
- Highscores
- Private offline messages?
- Grand exchange offer (this is already in the pipeline so :P ) is the database to look up prices and historical prices in this as well?
- D & D time updates (so you know when to do tears of guthix again etc)
- List of quest/progress
- List of dailly challenges/progress
- News section

I also wouldn't mind paying (within reason) for the app if it was downloadable. Many of the features here are in the swiftkit app which I bought for my iphone. This app is very good the only thing you can do better is put in integration so that you can log in and it can be more personalised (like having fc's etc)

Whats with your guy's obsession with Google based stuff? Pretty much all the newer stuff (bestiary, HTML5, App on computer) is only google chrome supported.

Are they paying you money to develop things for their stuff first then you make it work for everyone else?

Woo! Glad my phone (Samsung Galaxy S2) allows usage of this web app. :)

It's definitely a start. Now we can at least talk with friends on the go, without having to load up and be near a computer. Can't wait for maybe a downloadable version for convenience, plus other improvements over time such as the ability to go on the forums, etc. :D

I agree with you, although I do have my doubts about them being paid by Google. I wish they would have made the app at least for Firefox as well, and Internet Explorer (I know lots of people hate I.E., but it comes standard with every PC, so you could get into it right away without having to install a new browser. It'd be procrastinator friendly). And I've had a bad experience with chrome, so I'd prefer if

This has to be one of the best new pieces of content this entire year (fast world jump this time last year was also great), so nice to talk with the clan and friends while doing other things on the go where access to rs is not possible, thank you jagex and the Dev team which created this.

Hopefully this develops into something even better in the future to allow for other things like better forum access or even access to the GE

I would like to see a more compact chat window as an option, instead of all the space taken up by balloons and chat heads. I can see so much more chat this way.

Should be easy to implement, its just a check box: Disable balloon style chat.

Payment is only reason I can think of. Or google gives them some sort of bonus or something. Seriously everything is google or bust so far.

If this is a web application but basically a mobile website, what's the point in needing to download this instead of just login into the website and continuing? why isn't it written in HTML5... you know... it's forwards and backwards compatible thus working on every mobile phone device?

Wow

EDIT:
What's the point in downloading said RuneScape "app" if it's browser based instead of just making a re-directory to a mobile website with these features?

You seriously blew the ball on this one on stupidity as you cut out your audience with such stupid design decisions. You also blew the ball on not utilizing web 3g/4g on phones to connect to the internet = your only reason for your app to be browser based.

You missed out on expanding your audience w/ app store advertisement, but i guess you figured you'd get crap reviews (which if this is the case why release a crap product knowing it's not completed yet)?

Holy ****.
