I just received an e-mail from RuneScape.

3 Months - £13.75
"Save £1.10"

6 Months - £24.95
"Save £4.75"

12 Months - *44.95
"Save £14.45"


Let's have a look at the premier packages, which were meant to be a deal, supposed to be cheaper and with a few benefits for taking it:

3 Months - £14.50
Lose 75p

6 Months - £27.50
Lose £2.55

12 Months - £52.50
Lose £7.55

This does not seem right to me, and the included benefits don't justify it considering last year's included 2000 RuneCoins and a few other quirks.

I thought things like Paladin outfit and green skin were included as they were promotional items buyable in January 2013 with gold member, but seems they don't belong to "all promotial items from 2013". (Maybe this year started in february...)

Also didn't get Skypouncer outfit.

I hope coming outfits and items are worth this money.

I'm going to buy this with the money i get from christmas. I don't really care about the things you put into this ''goldpack'' because I only see them as gifts and bonuses from you for the players support, and I will always keep supporting Runescape, and it's ''little helpers'' no matter what happens to the game/company.

See. The forums is the place to ask questions especially on the relevant thread where they should keep doing FAQ. For obvious reasons other players won't know the exact reasons of why everything happens but I was hoping other fellow players or even Jagex could enlighten me since I haven't gotten an email in 3 days.

Yeah same here. Still no Skypouncer outfit...it was one of the main reasons I even considered it since they got rid of the runecoins from last year. I was also hoping they'd add in the green skin and 2012 items because I couldn't get gold premier last year.

What's up with this new \n\ thing messing up quoted posts? :|

Dear playerbase, dear Jagex,

I'm tending to
NOT
get this years premium package. Some reasions might have been covered in this thread (and/or the german forum entry) already.

-The dichotomousness of the player base (-> specialized Q&A meetings which might justify to host less of those events for the whole playerbase)
-The VIP-world which only is reachable by english language and thus just not usable for other communities (if you had a "localized language support" which wouldn't need a new download everytime this would be less of an issue and it would reduce stress on your servers)
-I'm worried about undearing updates (which there have been some but not all of them) and don't like to bind myself for such a long time because of this.
-The price is ok but compared to last years premium it is just not that attractive. Also other communities seem to be 'ripped off' at first look, we don't know how your prices are calculated.
-That ugly Vorago is looking at me on the gold package.

Still, my decision is not 100% final but this is what I'm leaning towards. Last years premium package was so much more attractive. There'd have to be some great update to change my mind about this (maybe some parts of the planned slayer update? but Airuts were not too great overall, just for the glove-hunters and the gloves even aren't that great - the rooftop agility could be interesting as well!).

Really? That is a R E A S O N to not offer them this time but loyalty points which are even more limited in their usability? Not buying it.
