I have an idea... instead of only offering these 'purchase' packs- why not also reward those already on auto pay that have payed for the last year or more? Reward people for their loyalty..and it is money Jagex has coming in regularly, that keeps things running...I was thinking about it. If you sign up for auto pay, you are losing out on all these special things...Yet still paying Jagex all that money for membership each month. In reality it is easier for Jagex to have people on auto pay....It is money they can can count on from month to month, less paperwork.... Just something to think about!.....I now it would make people feel more appreciated. (maybe someone suggested this before and I didn't see it...too many pages to look through.)

Drak, what you don't seem to be taking into consideration is the rate in which people are quitting the game, altogether. So, it would make sense that Jagex would want to sign people up for 12 months. On a month by month basis, it is more simple to stop playing. If you get angry about the turn the game is taking...you can just walk away. The 'bonus' spins aren't given out in one lump sum, upon buying the package, but are doled out day to day. Naturally, this would entice people to log in daily to be able to spin. That part of the plan was well thought out.

Hi Jagex,

I’ll say upfront that I can sorta see this from both sides… sorta

The 2013 package offered access to (All) new content. It also included (free) access to Old School. It allegedly included (2) new skills. I sorta remember something about a Jagex HQ entry but I forget if anyone won that. Somewhere I must have missed this epic story content (whatever that was) that someone said was (temporary)?

This package (2014), as it is presented, does make me wonder why it (appears) to fall short from the original but I have reread what Mod William posted several times. This one part that follows;

(This includes all of the pre-paid card items from the past year, plus all items that are released in 2014. So far, that’s:
#1
#2
#3
#4
Look out for more as 2014 rolls on!)

makes me wonder if all (new) card items will be added (I’m assuming) and the (look out for more) makes me wonder if you (Jagex) will add more future things that will make this package be the best one yet… ? It looks like your asking (us) to trust you even more this time…

Ok, I see I won't have enough room to finish on this post... continued on next>

Well said Drak, but in todays world loyalty buys u nuthin
How mayn times do u see the term" FOR NEW CUSTOMERS"I have moved many various things such as phones credit cards because of this and they seem to rely on ppl being lazy or reluctant to move as justification.
But I have a to agree to a degree with Xcessive its money in the bank ready to be wasted by the "good ideas "club to make more ppl move off RS, but why should you have to walk away from something that up until recently has been value for money and a lot of fun mostly, seems as daft as spending £10 more for something you already have.
Also interestingly not many mods have been on this thread to justify the actions of Jagex and give a definitive reason(s) for this idiocy.
I know what I want to do, but can rarely achieve it

Here is the continuation ...

At the moment, my questions (to keep this as short as possible) are as follows:

1)Will this 2014 Gold Membership still give us Old School for free?
2)Even with a lot fewer accts. on now there is still a lot of (lag) … ?
3)What was this about getting (2) two new skills with the 2013 package…?
4)What was this about getting No Jagex HQ entry ?
5)I don’t see anything about being able to access (all) new content ?
6)What was this about an epic story content turned out to be temporary, as it was time-based. Ok am I missing something here? What was this epic story/quest or w/e ?
7)Again, I stated back at the first premier opener that the method of pymt did not include the RS Game Cards… I had to use several of the (ultimate game) cards you suggested only to find I had money left on (that) acct. that I could not use for RS ? Money I spent and cannot use…? You could use the Game cards and any amount “over” the memb. could be put towards RuneCoins, spins or w/e…? Would you think harder about including this method of payment this time? =)

For the record, those questions need to be expanded and clarified in some cases.

At this time (noticing the glitches) I’ll hold off on this new package and hope the glitches are fixed soon. I am also holding off because I bought (3) Premier packages last time and yes this is an expense I’m not looking forward to.

I have read about all the posts this time and I can sorta see both sides… sorta. This is a great game (old school included) and I hope I’ll be around for a long time. Make me proud to be a part of your hard work!

Happy Holidays to all,

I did bought the package, but I know that it was far from being worth it. I guess I overvalued the 150k Loyalty points. The rest of the so called *benefits* are almost useless to me.

I would think something like 1000 Runecoins; would fairly satisfy the disappointed customers.

I ordered this 3 or 4 days ago. I have received confirmations and all that but I have not received my gold status or anything; what's going on?

The forum is not the place to ask this sort of thing. Contact the billing support team through a billing support ticket and they should respond with 24 hours and have a solution to your issue.

I joined the Premier Club last year because it was only a couple £ more expensive that what I was already paying (£3.20 pm or £38.40 py), but now we have price hike of over £10 which I cannot afford to pay.

I can guarantee you that if I hadn't bought Premier last year, I would have cancelled my membership during the summer. The game just isn't as fun as it used to be, so when my membership runs out in January, I will not be renewing.

I don't make enough money in game to justify using bonds to pay for membership. I can only afford to buy 3 bonds at current prices and I doubt gold membership will be for 3 bonds.

Sorry for the rambling, just thinking while writing.

Single question i didn't seen in FAQ section.

Once i buy gold membership will be not charged more to play OSRS if there will be any changes in fee to enter those servers ?

I know actual members don't need pay additional membership to play OSRS, but would like to know if the whole gold package cover rest of year to dont think about additional payment if there any emerge.
