Holy crap that is expensive as hell. I certainly won't be joining the club this year at that outrageous price. Last year it was only $75 and it included Runecoins. This year it's 86 and includes NO Runecoins? Are you off your rocker, Jagex?

I'm still locked in at $5/month, so a year for me is $60. There is certainly not enough included in that package to make me justify the extra $26.

expires in late january. Will all days of memberhips go into waste? (I know spins wont because I heard that you will get 4 spins a day if you still have active prvious gold package. But: will DAYS (unlike spins) of membership go into nothing?

I also agree with memphus. I rather see runecoins than loyalty points(+75€ this year??)

Jagex, you have to look at this from my point of view..

I normally pay for 1 month at a time because I don't always play runescape. I have on several occasions, paid for a month subscription, and used it only a few days. Because my situation often changes, as do my priorities, It's just not smart to pay for a 12 month subscription, even with the savings that are involved.

By doing it this way, I'm losing out on the loyalty points. But to be honest, the loyalty points just don't appeal to me.

Let's break it down..

`365 days of membership which the majority of, I probably won't use.
`150,000 loyalty points that I don't care about.
`365 extra spins on SoF which I can only claim if I log in every single day which I wont..
`A star next to my name in chat, which gives me bragging rights, but who would want to brag about getting a ripoff package like this? Again, this only applies for days I play, and it expires at the end of the 12 month package.
`A forum badge, which is also worthless to me because I rarely post here on the forums, and when I do post, the badge is not going to make my experience any better.
`VIP Q & A? Exp waste...

`VIP worlds, this sounds nice, but realistically, it just doesn't seem useful.
`In-game pets, cool, flying pigs. Is this some type of metaphor for the likelihood of me spending my hard-earned money on this package?
`2013/2014 Promotional Items, sounds cool, don't know what these items are, what they look like, what they do etc.. How can I want something when I don't know what it is?

There's just not enough that appeals to me here to get me to shell out the extra cash.

Don't get me wrong, I like the game, I have enjoyed it for almost 9 years now. I like the updates, not that I really play any of the new content.. I wouldn't mind throwing you guys some money to help make the game better, but you guys have enough money from other purchases like SoF spins, Runecoins, and now Bonds.

Also, what about 2007 players? They get nothing from this.

This is appalling and outrageous. At first you bow down saying you'll do what players ask, and now you're trying to make us pay for this overpriced garbage deal that only noobs at Runescape will buy for Aura purchase and perhaps those god-aweful Loyalty Point clothes/emotes.

I'm disgusted at how terrible this years' Gold Membership is.

Because of this, I might even not buy member at all just to stop financing stupid crap like this. Seriously, it's that bad****-prioritize your things, Jagex.

So you want us to pay more this year than last year, but you remove the only other item from the package last year that also had any real value (runecoins).

I will most likely buy this, but the only way i can justify upgrading from my £3.20/month membership i have right now is if i remove my second account (which i never use, and only have running because i feel Jagex deserve the money for the amount i play) which is paying like £+5 a month or something. So yeah, you will be losing money form me jagex, but at least i get a star next to my name. :)

and just one more thing... Solomans pets are generally trash, and these ones are no different. 2 months from now you will most likely see like 1 of these pets per month if your lucky. Please don't think these pets are a replacement for runecoins because i can tell you now, if runecoins were given, the last thing the majority of people would buy is pets.

yeah for all those who got ripped off and bought the gold package...a big fat gratz to ya! i for one wont waste the money on useless flying pigs or a badge declaring my stupidity for buying said package!

only thing I like about the premier club would be VIP worlds...but they will not be included in the RS game i play the most.

I'm genuinely curious Jagex, and I'm not trying to insult you in your face, but really.. Why does it appear like you're trying to undercut your customers with this year's premier club 'benefits'?

The value of this one quite dubious in comparison to last year's, and to somebody like me who actually purchased your package last year, there isn't really anything you've offered that's made me consider renewing. Nothing jumps out as a "wow", or "bang for your buck", I felt like Jagex actually offered a great deal with last year, but this time.. Not so much.

Let's be honest here, buying membership in bulk is a rather large risk, and an equally large amount of faith the customer is putting into you, the developers of this game. Naturally, you need to have a pretty good incentive to attract customers who are willing to pay for basically more than a year's worth subscription funds all at once.

This is especially important since some long-time customers of your game are actually paying LESS if they were to buy a normal twelve-month membership. With your premier package, these customers are paying MORE for the same subscription duration.

There are also a few unfortunate implications going around with the current incentives you offer, which can be seen as being potentially harmful. VIP worlds, badges? These seems like things that are bound to split the community even further apart than some existing items.

Additionally, I do think players deserve an answer regarding the loyalty points/Runecoins switch. One of the major contributors to the popularity and decision to enrolling in the gold premier package of last year was definitely the Runecoins. They are without a doubt, much more valuable than loyalty points, which some players are already drowning in. The difference is that loyalty points can't even purchase select items, while Runecoins can. Plus, it's rare that new Solomon items are released to accept both currencies.
