Oh, silly me! I should just pay jagex $9001 just to make a statement of the matter... Of course I'd like something, but as I stated on the last page, I just want one sentence from jagex.

The only thing I really want is to get the flaming skull from sgs, and toss the keepsake key I've already used. No reimbursement of money, just a swap. Instead of using a keepsake key I would have saved my coins for the override, but exclusive and limited mean something completely different in jagex language.

I know what you mean because i also have the flaming skull item and not the solomons one. Don't you think this was sort of their goal tho? Without any costs in designing they allowed;
1. people who dont have it get a chance to buy it
2. people who have it can decide to 1.buy a keepsake for it or to 2.buy it at solomons
2.1 people who keepsaked it will eventually take it out and buy a keepsake for something else, perhaps the same skull but changed to a diffrent color.
2.2 people who bought it might still want to keepsake one as the bought one can't shift colors.

you are at 2.1 who already keepsaked it before and would rather unlock it without using a keepsaked slot.

You see, this was intentionally done to give every player options and with every move you're going to spend money. why do you think you only get to keepsake 1 item per slot? You may ask to get it for free all you want, but im pretty sure you won't get it, just get the paper route.

I guess you don't know the meaning of limited or exclusive. The flaming skull is neither anymore. It was exclusive to those who obtained it in the limited amount of time.

And get a paper route. Why, when I can just wait for places around here to respond to my applications so I would actually be assured a decent paycheck, even if it is only for a limited time. I guess you either love getting shafted by companies, or believe that they can only make money hungry anti-consumer decisions so you don't even bother.

And then there's my last point, which you clearly missed. At this point

I just want a JMod to come in here and post one of three things; "Yes we are unlocking the SGS version for you guys", "No we are not", or "We are discussing it". I'm pretty damn sure wanting a statement is perfectly valid, and not greedy in the slightest.

lol, yes perfectly justifiable to demand a statement from jagex with this tone.

I can tell u you won't get it for free, you get what you pay for, and you are triggered to want more. Look, this is the new routine for custom items judging by past releases and their changes.
1. buy spins to get the item you want to spin
2. buy a keepsake key to turn it cosmetic
3. buy it from solomon's when it get's released there.
4. A new item gets released on SoF
5. go back to step 1.

you shouldn't still need a jagex statement to tell you that "no we're not" giving you the flaming skull unlock for free. because you spend more money this way, and in your last message you already said that all you want is to get it unlocked at solomons, well sir, you're going to have to pay for the things you want.

I know you think we're at war, but I'm not at war with you. Good luck on your pending applications.

Correction, I'm going to have to pay for what the business wants. There's a difference between the miscommunication of exclusive/limited in jagex's eyes, and just demanding stuff with no grounds at all. If jagex never uttered the words exclusive or limited with these things, it would be common knowledge that they actually planned on releasing these again. Looking back at holiday drops and items in recent years, it was well within reason that they could have actually known what those two words mean.

And for the record, no, I'm actually not going to buy the SGS variant. I'm going to stand by my decision and continue living with my keepsaked skull. I don't need jagex to tell me that they're not going to be nice, but I thought I should let you know that ignoring your consumers is a terrible move in the PR department. ;)

It says somewhere that even tho you buy stuff now it doesn't entitle you to anything later, and even tho they call something limited they can relaunch it later or even use it as a free promotional item when you paid a good dollar for it.

I agree it's a bit elusive to utter the words limited and exclusive when it isnt really. But that's marketing sometimes.

no one is forcing you to buy the skull off SoF so you can't state that you have to do what the business wants, so i'm glad you're not letting yourself get tempted, im not buying it either*

I never said anyone is forcing me... What I would like is a freebie, what the business wants is for me to pay. Even if I was completely confident that I did want to buy it off SGS, it is still what they wholeheartedly want as a business; me to spend more money. I would prefer not to spend more, even if I did go out and buy it right now.

So let me re-phrase my sentence. I will have to pay for what the business wants, instead of what I would prefer.
