This override is completely worthless since nobody can see it.

It's not the only reason. But it is the a reason why someone would buy this. Not neccesarily impress either but entertain maybe. I was with a friend and tried to show it to them and was going crazy that they had not seen it yet. I was like "do they blink every time I crit?". I ended up sending them a screenshot and they appreciated that. I'd ask for my money back but since they did state it in the shop (even though you had to scroll for the message to appear), I don't think that would work.
Guess I just learned that I should not impulse-buy anything in Jagex shop anymore, which probably means I'll end up buying less, but that won't bother me.
The entire world is bragging about cookies and Jagex doesn't even know how to use them.
