What kind of glitches, exactly? I mean, How hard is it to ***** something like this up? Unless you didn't put the effort that it should have been given into the project. The Jagex we knew and loved is long gone.
*glitch takes your loyalty points and/or runecoins twice* That sort of glitch.
It could really be any number of things. They are taking two completely separate systems and combining them; one system deals with a free virtual currency (loyalty points) and one system deals in paid virtual currency (runecoins). It could be akin to taking a V8 engine out of a pickup truck and dropping it into a Honda Civic. It can be done, but it is going to take a bit of modification to get any semblance of functionality.
From a coding perspective, the functions, calls, loops, definitions, variables, EVERY SINGLE BIT OF CODE, has to be looked at in both systems and revised. This isn't even counting the effects these changes have on dependent systems such as interface or payment processing. A single mistake at any step of the process could result in a massively spectacular failure that could cause unforeseen problems elsewhere in the game (infinite loops, handling errors, segfaults etc.).
Quite honestly, I enjoy busting Jagex's chops as much as the next person; not only because I pay money for this game, but because I sincerely and genuinely want them to succeed. However, a lot of the people complaining here have picked one of the most asinine things to whine about in recent memory. Stay classy, folks.
