In conjunction with 'Deathofapure' I too have purchased a $22.50 90day memberdhip card from my local 7/11 - the same retailer i used to get the ice mask - and have not received any flaming skull or message about a flaming skull. why? 6-25-12, 3:43am

@55z: For your situation in particular, you went to the wrong retailer :( . 7-11 stores are not participating in this offer, thus any game cards from them cannot be used towards the Flaming skull offer as it is now.
The only stores, and their respective countries, that are participating are outlined in the original post of this thread, and are as follows:

Since you simply went to the wrong retailer, I don't believe there's anything that can be done regarding the Flaming skull unless you would be willing to buy another game card from the correct store. If you are willing to do this, keep in mind that the subscription credit added on does indeed stack, along with delaying payments till three days of subscription credit are left if you have a recurring subscription present as well.

So people in the Netherlands aren't able to get it.. It's always going to be like this.. :/ I kind of feel bad.. Since I can't get such thing.. Was checking if a online purchase would work but ofcourse not..

I'm disappointed jagex.
You hype this offer and yet you restrict the criteria to very few stores. This seems like a pretty big gaffe on your part. Why didn't you just include every card sold at any retailer and not just those ones?
Kinda ****** me off when my card didn't work for this.

Hey Mods or who-ever else ends up reading this; I've already gone to my local Gamestop. All they had were 30-day prepaid cards. (Two different types of 30-day cards, too!) But not a single 100-day card anywhere.
Now, I might have a crazy idea, and, as the rules are already in place, and making any exceptions, or alterations to the event items' availability might look a little embarrassing on your part; I'd like to suggest online payment via credit/debit for three months in advance runescape membership instead of this silly "Only supported retailer" (Gamestop) rubbish.
If you want I can take a picture of the turn-stile with the 30-day cards without a 100-day card in sight. If you really want to be picky I can even make a video, or record the guys' voice when he said "I'm sorry, all we carry is what's out there on the rack" though i'm pretty sure that's against store policy.
As a final note; I -do- fully grasp what makes this item special; And that is of-course you have to be anywhere within 100 miles of a Gamestop, have to have a means to get there within the allotted time, and naturally the $22.95 or whatever it is for the bloody thing in the first place. Now, as I'm sure as a hundred other players' have pointed out; it doesn't make much sense to make the item so wildly unavailable.
I've been to the Gamestop, they didn't have the cards. I even checked a 7-11, they also had only the 30-day cards. I have the money for the card, and I'd even pay more for it than Gamestop sells it for, because to get one I'd have to spend more money in gas driving to the other side of the state than I would paying for the card itself. (but that's not your problem is it? It's not like they may not carry the 100-day cards, right? right??)
To leave on a less negative stance, I might end-up having to buy a 100-day card off the black market (random malicious websites? I don't even KNOW yet.)
Oh, wait, that's still not very positive. Oh well, it can't be helped.
