Perhaps this has already been asked here (I'm a bit short on time and can't read every post), but will the old music still be available in game? I'm looking forward to the new music, but I think it'd be enjoyable every now and then to be able to listen to the old music. The good old days... not to say that the current Runescape is bad, I love it! But the good old days~

I was fortunate enough to work in an orchestral studio in London for a number of years in the early 90s, and at that time we were just starting to see movie score work and other projects go to studios in Eastern Europe and elsewhere. Back then many of the recording spaces were fantastic and the musicians have always been phenomenal, but the facilities lagged behind somewhat in technological infrastructure. But now -- wow! That facility was every bit as advanced as the central London complexes that I am familiar with, and the standard from the recordings is clearly on a par.

I do wonder -- was it mixed in Bratislava too, or brought back to the UK for mixing?

Kwaichi above asked how Slovakia's National Symphony Orchestra got the gig. I suspect it's simply business. The big London orchestras and the studios like Air Lyndhurst and Abbey Road are likely still considerably more expensive, yet the results from Slovakia are just as good. A win for you guys! I still love London though. :)

There is nothing like standing in close proximity to a live orchestra as it creates sheer magic out of raw talent. If you are reading this and have never been to an orchestral concert I strongly urge you to find a way to get to one. Support a local orchestra, even just by being in the crowd at a free event. It's amazing!

Finally a quick shout out to Alan Wilson, the conductor of those sessions. Alan is an absolute luminary in the areas of European church and choral music, is a highly respected writer, organist, researcher... the list goes on. Jagex has found the best of the best with these guys.

So congrats, Jagex. This is , for me, the most exciting update I've seen for ages. I'm truly thrilled! There's only one thing missing...

That hurdy-gurdy player 31 seconds into the video has to be front and center in your next Fremennik arrangement! :)

Ohh my gosh, I can't wait to hear the full tracks. It sounds beautiful! I've always loved the RS music, mostly for sentimental value, but some of the tunes can really get stuck in your head. Hearing it played by a full orchestra will be amazing. Watching this video made me reflect on how far RuneScape has come since I started playing in 06 - I may have gotten a tad emotional! :P

Can't wait for it, plus if Jagex sells their idea to true lovers, then it is better than the representation as representation except th bank slots, not so meaningful. GO HARD OR GO HOME

They do onsite as the Jagex like to do real at this moment. People like real thing ,also there is a good sample found in HKG. The universal knows how to. GO HARD OR GO HOME

omg jagex doesnt care about players they're just greedy because this video is all orchestra stuff that nobody likes because I like wubwubwub music moar so im going to quit rs and pretend 07 scape doesnt exist because this is somehow EOC's fault too

I never suggested I was leaving RS (yet). And when I do, it won't change the fact that I can at least write a coherent sentence, follow a correct line of logic or find the problems with a flawed one, and prioritize my life appropriately and move on. I'll also happily move the free time I spend gaming to an entity that understands what gaming is about. Not to mention knowing how to be more reasonable, polite, and more socially competent in general, even to people behind a computer screen who I will never personally know, simply because I remember they are real people. I'll also continue not to resort to inaccurate poor attempts at ad hominem caricatures to try to troll or (worse) make a point.

But even if you possess none of those qualities, nor perhaps can even follow what I just wrote -- I take it you were upset I'd dare suggest this is fiddling while Rome burns?

Can you not see that I was obviously being condescending, by mocking the people who I was pretending to talk like? Please tell me you were at least trying to troll me back, because I shudder to believe that someone with your vocabulary would take my satire so seriously. And look what you did...! You ruined my joke by making me need to explain it to you :\ nice going...
