anyway. this sounds so great. I have got a couple of questions though.
1. Would there be any opportunities from the game community end for music projects in the future?

Thank you for your comments on here, it's been great reading them all.
Of course, the front end music for the game is going to be updated to feature this orchestral music, so the Scape melody will indeed be returning to the login screen. 'ScapeBold' is what you heard in the BTS. We have also recorded a lovely 'ScapeMelancholy' which James Hannigan mentions.
We have brand new audio tech that will enable us to play the music in game as it should be... in full CD quality with a dedicated music streaming server.
Runescape prides itself on having a diversity of emotions and the music will reflect that. As well as the orchestral elements we are working with all kinds of musicians and instruments, from harp, guitar (acoustic and electric), mandolin, bouzouki to woodwind, medieval percussion and even singers. Some of it is epic and serious, some is folky and fun.
How much music are we doing? As much as possible! There is a LOT of music already in Runescape, played back to back... about two and a half days worth! We can't rework all this at once. Sometimes we may also do more than one version of a song as it's great to be able to re-enforce some of the well known melodies and treat them in different ways. For example we have a lovely solo violin version of the Scape Theme which is particularly haunting. 'Harmony' has a few different versions as well.
We were really pleased that 'The World Wakes' soundtrack was popular with players as that contained a real mix of music from grungy guitars to the full orchestral Memories of Guthix. The next batch of new music will continue with this and hopefully add to the immersion of new content.

is the sort of thing that makes me proud of the game I play. I don't know that RS will ever be a real force in the world (or any other game, for that matter) but events like this give everyone a glimmer of what
