1) Who do you think you'll align to?


The short answer is the Godless faction.

The long answer is that I don't feel compelled to align to anyone in particular. Not to dismiss the lore; far from it. I love the lore (and my quest cape). I mean, in character, I don't wish to follow a god nor do I wish to support the presumed efforts of the Godless. However, I do feel compelled to choose among the factions, and the Godless faction most closely reflects my views.

2) What has lead you to that decision?


Met two gods.

Still an atheist.

No, really. From what I understand, the 'gods' are really just extremely powerful individuals. There's no more reason to worship them than there is to worship a table. Gods exist, they do things, they affect my life... but I see no need to listen to one any more than I would listen to someone wearing a Completionist Cape. Advice? Maybe. Orders? No.

Given that we now understand that there are elder gods even more powerful than Guthix was, I'd be more interested in worshiping them, but I'd likely still take the same stance.

3) How do you think you'll let that choice affect your story?


I'm hoping that it's going to either have the gods (and emissaries) trying to convert me. As the 'World Guardian', obviously certain factions will be seeking my favor, attempting to use me as a tool against the other gods. Other factions will simply try to destroy me. Combat and intrigue, that's the ticket. If I can manage it, I'd juggle those interests against each other.

See, this is close to the Sliske and/or Zaros views... but why should I listen to them? Why should they have the power in the relationship? I want the gods to curry favor with me , not the other way around.

Zaros, natch. That said, I'm looking forward to the Sliskean and Bandosian attempts to get me on their side.

2. What has led you to that decision?

I've been a proud Zarosian for several years, and although I do agree with Guthix on some points, I believe that only a strong, cunning, and resourceful god can truly eliminate godly warfare on Gielnor, and Zaros is a being with all three of these things in spades. He is god of control after all.

3. How do you think you'll let that choice affect your story?

In the past I've taken actions that have placed me on Zaros' side, and I intend to continue doing so, barring any extreme abuses of the trust I've placed in him.

I'd like to learn more about his character, and his alignment. Supporting his return back to Runescape and having the ability to talk, learn, and even fight/defend against him would be stinkin' sweet.

3) How do you think you'll let that choice affect your story?

I've already helped support his return in the game, so I'd continue to do that in following quests. He's stated to be a positive force concerning 'balance' so having to defend against his plans to maintain 'balance' may not be an action available to take (Guthixian Ideals also). My story will be of one for answers and understanding, and maybe justice in the end.

1) As guthix wish, I'm gonna cut for Godless.

2) I like alot Zaros for any chance he can to give the humman and Majharrat. I also consider Azzaranda as one of the most fair and equal actors. But I prefer associate myself with my own destiny. I would like to see the birth of a aliance between Serene, Zaros and atheists. Three factions that I believe are neutral in the war of the Gods. A aliance who could probably reign on Gelinor. I have a very clear understanding that it would be good to consider separately each gods for their actions and judge the crimes committed ... one of the only way to put an end to this war've done alot of damage.

3)I consider myself intelligent enough to judge a neutral way all the gods, and reveal all their mistakes and prove to everyone the true face of the actors behind this war. My decision is well thought out and I think being a neutral faction my decision will be based on what I consider good. As I said, I believe that some gods deserve their place contrary to what was thought Guthix. For them to prove that they deserve their place here.

If this new content does change your story gameplay, then there should definately be a way to go back and change your decision to try out all the possibilities and outcomes. I already wished I could replay certain quests (no rewards of course) because of all the new graphics and such.

Anyway I would probably choose Zaros because he is such a mystery and the lore of ancient history is cool. But I would really love to see Saradomin god wars armor along with new Sliske themed armor. I would also love to see mage arena god capes for bandos, armadyl, zaros, and now sliske.

Whoever provides game play benefit/interest. Will change sides as often as my socks most likely.

Pragmatism and love of variety.

3) How do you think you'll let that choice affect your story?
I press the space bar as fast as possible in most quests. So unless there are penguins involved... idc

I'd like a monkey god... they know how to have a good time.

I actually think I'd align myself with the Godless. I believe more in Guthix's ideals rather than anything else, the fact that there should be a balance and no God should have power over another. Saying that, Zaros is also associated with balance, so I might see myself siding with him. Guess I'll just have to wait and see.

Wow! that blind sheep comment was a bit harsh and besides never changing your faction is just showing loyalty to your faction but again that comment was harsh.

He kinda has a point. I align myself with Zaros, for I choose the path of power and control.

However - my end goal is to rule myself. Depending on others is a recipe for failure. I was weak and humbled, never again shall I bow to anyone. Sliske might have made the first move, but my time is coming.

Is this not more than a little hypocritical of you? Stating that you align yourself with a god and then a moment later claiming that "never again shall [you] bow to anyone"?. Your choice seems a bit counterintuitive to me. The Godless path is the only path from which you could ever hope to gain such independence.

You completely misunderstand what I just wrote out, though I don't have any idea how you could.

Aligning myself with a deity for the time being does not mean I will bow, scrape, or grovel at their feet. I started as a sick and frail mage who, though gifted, was powerless to stop the plagues from spreading across my homeland and wiping out my entire village. Who caused these plagues? The Gods themselves. The only way to be free is to attain that power for myself, and my time is coming.
