The QBD isn't impossible, just harder, try using Dragon Bane bolts i found those to be quite effective with a runite+ cbow

Fantastic idea. I vote Hard Tasks but any requirements that aren't 'walk here once' are good to me!

we could also make certain loadstones degrade, due to the environment they are in, loadstones in Forthany and Morytaniya in particular

Please, please, please put requirements to these.

Make it to where you have to complete certain quests for that area.

Require you to build them with a high construction level and magic level.

Make it cost thousands of law runes, 20 limestone bricks, and a magic stone plus some special material for each location, such as an elf crystal for Isafdar, to build them.

It makes no sense to just add these to the game like you did with tool belts. Let us use your construction and magic skills to give us an advantage. Let Quests be more rewarding instead of less rewarding by having quest requirements for building them. Please, do not just let these be added just to kill off more content!


If you're going to do that, make it a level requirement, not a material/fiscal drain. That's not necessary.


It NEEDS to be both. Are you not realising how op these things are? They should be a luxury earned not given. Having material requirements to build it makes sense. The only thing you could scratch would be the magic stone (that was a bit excessive.) What are you going to build it out of, dirt? That extra ingredient also requires certain quests to be completed. I.E. requiring some mushrooms from Mort Myre swamp, that you can only get after the Nature Spirit quest, to build the loadstone.


They're already going to have quest requirements, and the materials you had to buy to GET the level is sufficient, as far as having to "earn" them.

I'm indecisive as usual. I don't really mind the lodestones, and use a couple of them frequently. I agree that it maybe 'devalues' some of the other teleport methods, but honestly, I think I still use a variety of the current teleport options even with lodestones. I think the only current items that have been hurt much (for me, others may have different habits) are using the amulet of glory for getting to Edgeville (and techinically this was already a home teleport location, so not that big of a change), and the fairy ring to get to Yanille. I use fairy rings and spirit trees a fair amount, and regularly use unlimited charge teleport items.

Honestly, before lodestones, I would just use the best free/unlimited teleport to get close and walk the rest of the way, instead of using law runes or jewelery (largely because I was only a member briefly before lodestones were added, and spent a majority of my RS time as f2p). And I noticed no one seems to be mentioning the changes to teleport items also mentioned in the BTS to make such items more competitive with lodestones.

In all seriousness, I hope the announcement of the new boss means that they finally got Picks and Hatchets working against Dills and Jade Vine, respectively, when added to a toolbelt.
