After the initial excitement over this new skill, I can see this falling to the wayside where a world will have to be a designated divination training world where player spawned nodes will be plentiful. I can't see worlds that just have 150 players in them having enough nodes available. They did say the nodes have limited resource in them and each player can spawn one, once per day.
On another note, and this is just a guess, so no need to flame, but:
There was a hint in one of the video's that the skill will be a big bank space consumer. I'm guessing that the resources extracted from these nodes will not be your standard resource, but instead be something like a 'divine log' which will only fletch into a divine bow, needing a divine bowstring made from divine flax. This would be the same for all player made items, that there will be a 'divine' item & a regular item. As your divination level goes up, the higher level of 'divine' items you can make.
But hey, I could be wrong.
