I'm probably still sticking to Java. I know that RS will never look as good as like Skyrim, so idk why they put so much effort into graphics and leave quests out. Quests make RS strong, and that's why I started with this game. It's why similar fantasy games like, once again, Skyrim get boring. You finish all the quests/storylines and have grinded your way to 100.

Anyway I would have thought RS3 would have a WASD first-person type of gameplay, where you see through your characters eyes. But all RS3 is is better graphics, customisable interface, and possibly tablet playing. So, for me, not that much of a jump. Bleh.

Lol Mod Phoenix is cute ;) But anyway, my friend told me that he played the new RS3 and he has the July AlienWare desktop model for the summer season and he told me that he was averaging 22 FPS on the lowest graphics settings... I've been playing this game longer than most, throughout my childhood and now going into adulthood.
I just hope that I don't have to say goodbye to Runescape because you guys want to upgrade so much at once. Despite these things, Divination sounds like a pretty fitting skill for the coming sixth age and I feel that it will add a spark to the Runescape economy. As far as "The Battle for Lumbridge" is concerned it will likely be decided by the choices of the majority, and not of the individual. Furthermore, it was stated in another post that there will be another skill to accompany Divination and is such the skill is probably a production skill like smithing and herblore that may come out later in the year or early 2014.
So, in conclusion, the cons will only outweigh the pros if the game cannot be run by the majority. But I know that Jagex is working it's hardest to bring us a quality product like they always have, and that it is just silly to think that they would release the new RS3 before it is playable by the masses. So, thanks for all of the memories and thanks in advance for the many adventures to come! :)

Stay questing my friends,
LuckySkinnre

@ K1ndus11 I think your Blizzard example illustrates that we should expect Jagex to compensate us for the rocky ride since the release of the EOC.

Check it out, right now as I am posting this, there are reports of worlds crashing or going offline, in fact, there have been reports that worlds have been crashing all this week since July 1.

Now, according to your example, Blizzard issued game credits so, if you are suggesting that Jagex follow suit and issue game credits here, runecoins, spins or whatever, I would support that suggestion.

Furthermore, do you remember the 'Beta Scientist Outfit'? And, was there any kind of award for all those players who beta tested the RS3 stuff?

Anyway, there are all kinds of examples in the business world where companies reimburse or compensate customers when goods or services are lacking in quality.

So, if this is your suggestion, I support it - Jagex should compensate us for the rocky ride of the past several months and the substandard quality of their products and services.

@Eddie Body I agree that Jagex should compensate its players for poor launches and updates and the problems those cause. I just think that players should be more patient and willing to see what happens. In my own opinion gamers are the hardest group to please and make happy. Mainly because they are all very inpatient. So yes I do agree with you on many points and would like to see things like reimbursement come to fruition. But instead of instantly putting RS3 in the failed pile we should all wait and see how the launch goes and the next few weeks after go. It may not be very appealing to sit and wait, but its better then them never trying again to make it better(in my opinion). And I know you would like it to succed from some of you other post and that you have your very well founded reasons to be wary of RS3 but just keep an open mind about. HTML5 does seem like a very logical and well founded upgrade for browser based games so yes it could be the worst update in history of gaming but who knows maybe it'll be amazing.

the lag spikes have hit again here^ also lol it would rly suck if rs became anuther wsad game, i just find them awcwardly placed and would prefer the arrowkeys, then again rs is a mouce click game and would be a copy of guildwars2 but without the silly races if it was a wsad game, against the eoc myself, i enjoyed the game up untill that update when no1 wanted it except a few noobs who just started from anuther game did, also i want a slushy while im at it lol, (support for pre eoc servers due to 07 being to far back)^

@ K1ndus11 Well yes, patience is a virtue as they say, so at the same time, why did they rush to release EOC? Why are they rushing to release RS3?

It has been suggested that they invest more in their Quality Assurance Department, that implies that they spend more time preparing their products for 'live' release, so that implies that I am prepared to be patient for quality products.

Having said that, once their products have been released as 'live,' I do expect it to be fully functional and balanced and, if there are errors in their 'live' releases, then those issues should be resolved promptly like within a week - not months.

So, if it's not ready yet, then so be it - they should delay it's release.

Now, given the rocky ride of the past several months, Jagex should issue game credits, runecoins, spins or whatever else to compensate everyone for the inconveniences experienced due to Jagex's flawed products.
