So, I've gone through and read all the forum comments. What I don't understand is all the hatred for SoF. Mind you, I'm a returning player only within the past month from a 2 yr break. I haven't bought any spins bc I find the rewards to be too trivial. A few thousand exp or some trash 'exquisite' items that convert to 500 gold doesn't seem like anything too game altering.
Granted, with the most recent SoF update getting usable gear seems a bit too far but then again... It is all trash compared to other same-level equivalent items. Sure, a bit too easy for a new Ranger to have the same gear for 60 levels, if they don't mind always being under par, and it only using steel arrows. Psh, the gear is a joke. Although the SoF is always useless to me, I still enjoy it. It's randomness in the acquisition of much useless or trivial items is entertaining to me. That's what games are suppose to do, right? Entertain? :p
My opinion is sincere. No need to rage at my inquiry. I am looking for an honest, legitimate reason to hate SoF. I can already anticipate the: players can buy their way through Runescape, response. But, SoF is so minimal! I mean, for ALL those exp lamps I get and putting them ALL into Prayer... It's still never given me a full level (all exp gained, accumulated); mind you I'm only sitting on a level 64 Prayer.
Personally, SoF spins would be a waste of money. Entertaining, yes. Big gains? Hell no. Harmful to gameplay? I don't see how.
