The person who said that doesn't even work at Jagex anymore.

The sof updates don't provide real in game advantages, collectors items and cosmetic stuff. Jagex is keeping true to their word!

GREAT
that you guys made this update, we get people with extra
cash
to use their
cash
on items that hold only cosmetic/collectors value but offer
no real in-game advantage!!!
. CASH that can be used for stuff like
NIS
and
RS3!!

People with
money
to waste invest it in the game on items that provide
no real in game advantage
in order for
US
and ALL PLAYERS to be able to PLAY RS3 BEFORE SUMMER ENDS!!!!!!


And jagex, the idea to make actual gear pieces and then having people keepsake them over and over again is GENIUS!

I got the new ranging boots on SoF, sold my level 40 Ranger Boots for 8 Million coins (!!!) and Robin Hood hat, and then bought an Armadyl Helmet to go with my level 60 boots (!!!) that I did not freakin' EARN!!! I don't know whether to congratulate myself for selling off TT CRAP so fast, or hang my head in shame. :O :@ :P [Graphics] Drivers Wanted.
