As much as I want to be mad at them, as much as it is unfair to those who brought 12 months worth of membership, this promotion makes sense.

1- You already have priority access to All beta's
2- A discount membership price was with that 12 month package.
3- Got armor sets from that 12 month package.
4- There's more but you get my idea

So, why are we complaining about a promotion? Because there is a incentive to buy membership? It was the same idea for us when we got the gold package, same idea.

sure there were complaints that we got items that others did not. Time to follow an trail of Treasure.

Why do so many gold members feel entitled to every little cosmetic promotion they release? The terms of gold membership were perfectly clear. You got the majority of all the old promotion items, extra spins, runecoins, and early access on betas.

I understand it's frustrating that Jagex runs most of these on the base of buying more membership (on top of the year you already have), but they're running these essentially the same way they did before. Pay up early if you want the items immediately, or wait for (presumably) next year's gold package and get it all at once.

I suppose one solution would be a package that includes the coming year's promotions, but that starts to enter sketchy territory. Jagex wouldn't have all their promotions lined up at the very beginning of the year, so the exact benefits would be unclear. Doesn't sell well, and they end up with frustated customers that route too.

No jmod post yet. When are they going to reassure the Runescape population that what they are doing is for the betterment of the game? Where are Loyalty Rewards Shop updates? That is what you should be more worried about than this purchase extra membership crap.

lol im a gold member too and when i bought it i knew that it was mostly a scam er i mean a nice piece of advertising to draw you into thinking that Jagex really cares for you because you showed your loyalty for a whole year
Basic marketing 101 nothing is free and all that maters is setting the hook and reeling in the money If you think being a gold member means anything to Jagex you will believe that they will keep their word to stop pushing SOF and Sol's Store and actually start giving more loyalty rewards in loyalty shop just be happy that this one looks like nothing but noobwear if it don't sell then they might offer it for free in loyalty shop (lol like they would even give that ugly thing away come on wake up it is all about the $$$$)

What about gold or silver members? I paided 74.99 dollars just for 12 months of membership - but your asking us to pay an extra $19.99 just to get the armour. This is just unacceptable! So therefore I am signing the petition for HTML client of Armadyl.

Edit: The dollar sign showed up as a star.
