There's always alot of hate on Jagex. Now I know why they don't jump at the sign of a problem... Their community is going to give them BS either way, so they'll fix whatever they'll think is right first.
My god, I remember when they got rid of the wild... Which, I actually stopped subscribing until it was changed back, but I didn't go on a profuse hate spree.
Guys, just shut up. enough people have said they can't get in, so give it a few days.
maybe they're only allowing loyal costumers enter first?

Well it's looking like HTML5 isn't shaping up to be as great as everyone had hoped so far from the sounds of things.

I wonder if maybe, one day in the future, Jagex might consider ditching the "thin-client" model of Runescape and develop a "thick-client" game engine (like World of Warcraft and many others) where all the content required to run the game is downloaded and installed onto the user's machine rather than being streamed from servers.

All I know is that on my Mac, Runescape has always chugged along with low framerates and poor graphics, whereas World of Warcraft runs like a dream with consistently high framerates and (arguably) better graphics set on high settings.

The reason for this, of course, is due to WoW running in a native Mac application (and the same would apply on Windows too) with all the game's content readily available locally on my machine (so low loading times etc.).

I've always held the hope that Jagex would progress to an engine similar to games like WoW one day whilst keeping the mouse orientated "point and click" gameplay we're all used to. The scope for improvement would be huge.

Maybe when RS4 comes along...?

It's still in a beta stage. No one should have been expecting it to be perfect. Of course, as soon the tiniest thing goes wrong with anything in the game, Jagex is the worst company ever, they're killing the game, blah blah blah...

You know, you have a point. This forum in particular does seem to be filled with drama queens... :P

Hello Jagex,

I thought i would give you some feedback.

I struggled to log in for a few days, this been a beta that is understandable, I did manage to log in a few times, the graphics are very impressive, but the load time again is very slow at least 10-15 seconds for the surroundings to load, that again is understandable.

I had to update chrome, a few times when movin the camera alot shockwave player stopped responding which then caused chrome to say the page can no longer be displayed, I wasn't aware that RS3 required shockwave player, either way i have updated it and its not crashed again yet. I would also suggest everyone downloaded their most recent graphics drivers.

Overall i'm very impressed, and it looks like it's not going to be long until Runescape can update it's graphic even more as HTML5 opens up alot of doors in the graphical sence, I myself will wait for a client to be available before i make the final move from Java to HTML5.

Keep up the good work. =]

HI, I can not seem to get on the BETA this could be the reason I missed out on signing up for the program at the certain time, my Computer had broken and I had to wait for it to be fixed and save up for repairs etc. But its saying that this will be available for all members im a member and have been for 5 years and I can't log in this is very distressing could someone please give me some information and advice I would really appreciate it. This is the message that keeps popping up even with the other BETA link:

u're not eligible for the Beta Programme Sorry, you're not eligible for the Beta Programme Sorry, you're not eligible for the Beta Programme Sorry, you're not eligible for the Beta Programme Sorry, you're not eligible for the Beta Programme Sorry, you're not eligible for the Beta Programme Sorry, you're not eligible for the Beta Programme
Sorry, you're not currently eligible for the RuneScape 3 Beta Programme and registrations to take part have now closed. The New Interface System is currently in its last alpha build and will be moving into a beta for all members the week commencing 27th May.

But i still have some questions;

*RS3 Beta
- Can every F2P player test HTML5?
- Is the low FPS fixed?

*New inventory interfaces...
- Is it still in Alpha mode?
- Can we chose btwn the old and the new version?
