As an old player of runescape, I congratulate Jagex and all other employees and players who ACTUALLY play the game. It is wonderful to hear that we will almost be hitting the 2 millionth subscriber who actually plays the game. Although, this 200 million players probably consists mostly of bots ever since 2011. In the old days, there may have been less players signed up, but it was filled with legit players who actually talked and communicated throughout the game with each other. Although, I still congratulate runescape! Well done! P.S. Sparton 504 is my oldest account, but I just wanted to use this one because it is now my members account. :)

People, Please. of course allot of them are bots it happens, but jagex only stated here that they are near the a 200th million account created, they didn't say they were all players, people should stop assuming things, we all know runescape has a big problem with bots and that most accounts of the 200 million are probably bots, but jagex never stated they weren't so its kind of pointless to keep typing about how many are bots over and over, you are kind of stating the obvious.

But why would jagex want to celebrate accounts made when the majority of them are bots? Sure, 200mil is a huge number but it means nothing when you look at the number of bots vs real players.
Sorry. I will not celebrate this with you all. I can guarantee you that the celebration will include even more upsetting SoF updates that will ruin the game even further.

Congratulations to everyone at Jagex for creating such a wonderful game.
Though, probably 30-40% of those account are bots, it still doesn't take away the fact that they're still created accounts, and technically people have created them all, because someone's had to program the bot to create the accounts.
Anyhow, as a member from 2002 (2001, possibly?) I am proud to still be a part of this wonderful game.
