wow...
this is truly amazing, a game with 200,000,000 accounts?
how many of those accounts are people who accually play the game?
how many of those accounts were used as bots?
how many of those accounts were bought or sold of irl money?
this game is getting really popular seems lie just 2 years ago people were talking trash about this game and now all of the "cool kids" at my school talk about how this game is awesome.

Nothing really important about this to me, to be honest. Although I guess any time Jagex throw items in-game I'll somewhat enjoy.

Very rare poster as I'm not a social person, but long term player:
Call it a fake record, along with the bots and banned (bought back) accounts.
Come on guys, keep it real for those of us who stick with you... we don't have STML (short term memory loss).
And no, i don't care about SOF or other Marketing attempts, some of us actually play the game because we love it (OCD or not).
I'll update this post, or respond to anyone who cares to discus

Nice bot counter you got there Jagex, but really will you be giving us our 10 year vet capes IF the counter hits 200 million? (A side order of bot nuke might be nice as well

As an old player of runescape, I congratulate Jagex and all other employees and players who ACTUALLY play the game. It is wonderful to hear that we will almost be hitting the 2 millionth subscriber who actually plays the game. Although, this 200 million players probably consists mostly of bots ever since 2011. In the old days, there may have been less players signed up, but it was filled with legit players who actually talked and communicated throughout the game with each other. Although, I still congratulate runescape! Well done!
