I think that the 200,000,000 accounts mark is something to be proud of, but let's not forget about 35% are un-used OR bottling accounts.

I can create a database and create 500 mil dead accounts too. Whats the point of celebrating that???

I'll be honest. This really is an overrated event. 200 million accounts doesn't mean anything to me, and I'm sure everyone knows why....
It's not just the bots or unused accounts, It's how many people actually PLAY. Take a look at how many people are online right now. For me it's a little low because of the time of day (132k at 6:05 GMT). So anywhere from 130k-500k people may be online at a certain time (approximations may be inaccurate but you get the point). So you see the difference? 500k or 200 million? That's what it means to me...

Is it really that much of a big deal? I mean, in a few years there will be 3 million, then 4, assuming RS will continue to go on for that long (and I hope it will.) I mean, sure, it's a milestone, but not a very big one, especially considering the amount of bots and inactive accounts.

Only problem here is, Jagex/Runescape knows that most of the accounts being made is bots/trolls/spammers/rule breakers...etc.
I feel the person who wins this, if it is a person indeed, should be able to make any account he chooses a member for life, instead of wasting it on a spammer account or a nub account that probably won't be used more than a year.
I would love to have the membership for life, but I definatly don't want it on a level 5 nub account. Just like everyone else, I already have a few nub/pure accounts. And they are a ton better than a level 5 lol.
