I like the new interface, but i have some ideas that i think others would also like.

1) I don't like how you have to open a new interface to look at your friends list. I check to see which friends are on A LOT, so it'd be helpful to check easier.

2) When your in clan chat, for example, and someone talks in public chat, it keeps flashing and flashing and flashing. This gets very annoying for people who get distracted easily.

If these could be changed, it'd be very appreciated :)

The advancement made in Runescape till now have been amazing for sure, from what Runescape was known for to what it has become now is amazing.

My opinion is that if Runescape was to be made into other mmorpgs where you have to download the client and play it without the browser usage. I feel that you can do so much more and bring a lot more quality than there is right now.

If the changes I mentioned are made, I think a lot more people would be motivated and interested in playing. But then again its just my opinion. Brb...mother wants to yell at me :|

I don't get it, was there two type of registrations? I never saw any registrations for Alpha, only saw for the HTML5 Beta.

Stinks I did not get access to Alpha and only to the HTML5 which atm is unplayable for me - latest update 23/04 made it even worse on my side, not joking right now i experience less than 50% performance drop in framerates everywhere. Its quite odd that happened to me.

Recommendations: It's absolutely perfect but one feature.. the abilities. Out of all the era's in runescape, pre-eoc was by far my favorite. Returning Special Attacks, and depleting abilities will absolutely sky-rocket your sales.

I highly recommend the Jagex team creating a pole asking if you want the Abilities to stay, or if people want the Special attacks and pre-eoc combat back.

You do this in the 07 game, so I would suggest you do it here.

When does this release for sure into the live game?

This is the NIS customizable interface update. I know we're having alot of betas at the moment, so I see why you are confused. Abilities, and several other major combat updates were part of the Evolution of Combat update. That was in beta for five months or so before the beta ended and the update was applied to all the main game server.

Like I said, the EoC beta is long over. It was finalized about 5 months ago. This beta, NIS, doesn't do anything ability related outside of giving the action bar customizability, as well as the other interfaces. The highly ability-based combat is no longer a beta and has simply become the Runescape combat system. Since it's a pretty major piece of the system (as special attacks were before it), it's unlikely to be removed without another beta. I haven't heard anything about another combat beta, and after 5 months in game it looks to be here to stay, so it looks unlikely that it would be removed any time soon, if ever.

As for OSRS, it was designed to be a replica of the 2007 version of Runescape. That explains the lack of abilities, as those were not added until November 2012. Hope this clears things up! Click

Welcome to WoWscape! The reason people used to enjoy runescape was because it WASN'T a crappy WoW clone. Stop trying to make it one. The user interface will now look EXACTLY like every other mmo

Uhm....lol? The main reason or just your own reason? It's funny how WoW is the only one that's compared while there are other MMO's that have said interface as well. I guess only because WoW is the one that almost everyone on the internet has heard of.

You can customize the interface and if you don't like change or the idea that RuneScape is changing, you could always keep playing old school RS, you know.

Aside from that, the interface is nice. I just never figured out how to log out of the Alpha, aside from closing the tab. I think I spent too much time zooming in and out of my character just because I could and also to see on how close the camera could get. :P I'm a

The more I see these interfaces the more I froth over how much better they are!!!

The evolution of combat, being able to move stuff from all interfaces onto one bar was a huge step that really improved the game (even if the combat is still a bit broken). I'm really glad to see more of that improvement to the interface, making it require less tab switching. As reduced as it is with the action bar, and quick prayer/run/summon buttons, having all of what I need on the screen at once would be the ideal.

Here's what I hope to get once I enter alpha for my combat setup:
-stats visible. The opponent is using stat drains on me, I need to know when to use a super restore

-combat tab visible. I want to see if my opponent has had their stats drained, is poisoned, what their weakness is, everything!

-inventory visible. I want to be able to quickly navigate to my inventory to access my food, potions, etc.

-prayer tab visible for quick protection prayer swapping and soul split toggling

-all the familiar options of the summoning quick button accessible. BoB deposit, attack, everything.

-SOF pop-up invisible - I don't want his squeaking harassing me when I log in! If we can move everything, I'll be sorely disappointed if we can't move the pop-up so it doesn't appear unless we tell it to.

You best be joking, the world of warcraft interface isn't nearly this customizable. Not without downloading a ton of mods and junk, anyway. Headcanon Haven, where everything is made up and the points don't matter.
