Hiya,

The first poll is now live. If you've got a skill total level of 100+ in OldScape, you can log in and vote now .

We'll be developing the features that get 75% support in the poll. They may come out over a period of weeks, depending on how long they take to develop, so your patience is appreciated as always :)

We intend to keep running polls like this periodically, so if your request hasn't made it into this poll, keep posting and we'll consider it for a future poll. Please let us know your thoughts about the polling process too; for example, would you like future polls to have an "abstain" option?

60% Yes
15% No
25% Abstain

Of the people who voted Yes or No, 80% voted yes. Would you be okay with us developing the feature in that sort of situation? Or would you say that the feature didn't get 75% Yes votes, so you'd prefer not to have it in the game?

It might be almost impossible for you to get 75% Yes on anything if abstainers are counted as No votes.

But I'll reply regardless.
If there was an Abstain.. it's kind of neutral.
I'd put half of the abstain votes to yes and half to no, at the final counting.

I mean, I don't really want that, I don't want any updates, personally.
But, that's looking at it from a fair perspective.

Unfortunately, if only a couple of these make it in, that's it for me and OSRS...
Leave it to the community to ruin what I enjoy.

Oh well, back to RSC.

I believe an abstain option is unneeded. These polls are to decide when and if future content is to be added into OSR based on the popular opinion of the community. An abstain option would be nonsensical when applied to this.

I'm personally hoping people won't want an abstain option. We'd only get into arguments about how to interpret the results.

I'd like to add that I'm glad that you're taking the community interest into account on such a matter. Although, where does the line draw? If something is voted to 74% would it be added? How about if it were able to be rounded to 75, would it then? In my opinion, I believe that any vote that is above 65% should be added into a future poll, so that when more people have joined, and more time has passed to allow the content/issue to be though about, a better understanding would be reached with the poll. If the community does not feel it plays a large part in the adding of content, then I believe the whole idea of voting would be ruined. Anyways, as previously stated, I think an abstain vote option would only serve to complicate matters, but if you want to test it, then by all means, add it to a future poll for the community to vote on. Only then could you get an accurate basis for how the community feels about the matter.
