But the basic payment price is just a normal Membership price for 6 months.

The membership price for 6 months is zero, basic payment is a seperate thing.
Nothing to do with 6 months.

.....What!?
Membership price is 7.99 (or something near that) a month, what do you mean it's zero?
Everything's an integrity issue if you troll enough.

So, because they decided that there would be no additional costs to the old school servers for at least 6 months... technically none of us got a free month lol

What? Really? I got memberships because they said we get 1 month free for voting?? Mis-selling.

So the membership I paid for is being used for the free month?

Yes, you paid 1 month Runescape membership, that gained you free access to OSRS until 31st March.

So the free access isn't actually free? Has it stopped?

Runescape membership, and OSRS membership are 2 different things. You need to paid Runescape membership to access the OSRS. You did/or are getting the free access to OSRS until March 31st. OSRS at poll time is an addition to the main game. Your access to OSRS will cease after March 31st, if you do not renew your Runescape Membership. OSRS are free for the next 6 months (with Runescape Membership), at no additional cost.

IF Jagex decide to add an extra cost to our basic rs payment.... then and only then will we be paying extra to play on old rs servers... so... until such time we are actually playing the old rs servers free.

Mod Nexus to avoid further spam/confusion it would probably be a good idea if you changed the title of this sticky into something along the lines of "Membership date clarification" and use the first post to address a few common concerns in simple, short explanations, mainly:

- If you've voted in the poll for OSRS, you WILL have access until March 31st, even if the date on login displays a lower number.
- The date displayed is your RuneScape membership, which will expire after the amount of days displayed lapse. This means that you can't log into eocscape anymore from that point on, for example. It does NOT affect your freebie access of OSRS which is guaranteed until March 31st, if you've voted in the poll.

I think those are the biggest ones atm, hope I'm understanding them right by the way I phrased it :P

Basic membership price is 7.99 (unlocks ability to pay for oldschool rs)

I thought first 6 months are free?

The first 6 months to OSRS is free, but you still need to pay Runescape Membership to access it. After the 6 months is up, there may be an additional cost on top of Runescape membership.

It's "Free" for 6 months.

Honestly though...STOP SAYING IT'S FREE, that's causing MORE confusion!!
Just say this.

For the first 6 months, OS is 7.99
After 6 months, OS is 13.99 (or whatever they decide along the way)
