Yes. The free month was only regarding the possible additional fee for 2007scape.
Since the poll ended it remained an additional fee of zero, but basic payment is needed
and basic membership wasn't promised to be free. They've always spoken about old school membership as an additional thing. Thranduil | King of the Elves of the Wood

Yes, you paid 1 month Runescape membership, that gained you free access to OSRS until 31st March.

So the free access isn't actually free? Has it stopped?

I thought first 6 months are free?

The first 6 months are just a normal membership price.
Supposedly it adds a fee after 6 months for these servers. Everything's an integrity issue if you troll enough.

The membership price for 6 months is zero, basic payment is a seperate thing.

So, because they decided that there would be no additional costs to the old school servers for at least 6 months... technically none of us got a free month lol

OR

You could say we all get at least 6 months free lol

Nothing has been decided as to what happens in 6 months regarding additional fees or whether to keep it as part of the RuneScape membership benefits or one of 50 other options that could be done.
