As I write this, world 2 (which you could hardly ever get into) is the most populated world but currently has only 1157 players. The back up trade world, (World 1) has 819 players. Pest control world is now combined with Conquest and has 741 players. Dungeoneering worlds are nearly empty and impossible to find a team**** worlds are empty and in most worlds even the GE is starting to look empty. Even after reducing the number of servers most worlds now have very few players compared to a short while ago. Since EOC, skilling is a dieing art. Fishing and cooking are a waste of time as food is barely required, pots are not required, and all decent armour comes in drops and is not made in game. Making decent money is impossible unless you get lucky with a drop, sadly the most I ever got has been a pair of d legs.

If the truth be known then Jagex say they are listening to us and are responding, but I think they are listening to their Board of Directors and are panicking.

In short everything I enjoyed got taken from the game. I mourn for the good olde days, but starting as a lvl 3 noob killing cows with a bronze scimmy on a tiny low HD screen and having Jagex nerf everything just as I get good at it, or start enjoying it, as in the past, doesn't cut it for me. Dividing the current population may cause more players to leave and Jagex may drop below it's critical mass of members needed to maintain the game.

Why not just bite the bullet and move on and "update" rather than backdate runescape to a compleatly new version all this updating and backdating making my head spin "Please make it stop" i feel ill. work on somthing from scratch seperate from this old hat give the old geration somthing to do other than aim for 200mil in skills and ports sorry but in my eyes this is just a flimsy excuse to go forward and i dont think going back is the key to any progress. Sort the issuses out that are in the present is key to speak frankly this isn't mean to be a rude comment just me speaking my mind and saying it as it is imo.
ps Good work with my idea for mac adress security thanks for the rewards :P oh hang on i didnt get any not even it named after me shhhishh lol

I really like some parts of the game, and some of the sound updates have been spectacular. The current game needs fixing to make it fun again. The wildy should be scary, not a timid unused part of the game content overrun by bots. Skilling needs to be seen as an important part of the game that drives the economy, not something fools will do for no reward. Rewards need to be earned not bought from Solomon. Jagex needs to get back to the basics that made the game popular in 2007 with the current game, so we can enjoy our hard earned levels. They then would not need to to run around like headless chickens dusting off old content and charging us for the pleasure of starting again with a bronze scimmy.
