You don't pay for 2007 servers if you don't want to. If you want to remain on the main servers you will continue to pay your regular membership fee's there will be an option for the extra payment if you wish to play the 2007 server. Nobody is forced to pay for it, read the FAQ.

What a massive scam...750k member votes so we dont have to vote. runescape only has like 100k active accounts....

looks like this is only going to happen if jagex scam us for our money.

As badly as a lot of us want this, starting at level 3 all over again is not the right thing to do, it is too much work to re-invest back into the game and we have spent too much time on our accounts as it is. We can't just let our high-level accounts rot inside the EoC-based system while we start from scratch in the 2007 system.
