I'm curious if GWD will be included, as GWD was released on the 28th of August.
I know I'm speaking for myself when I say this, but I like the EOC and I feel like bringing another server will just split up the community.
I just don't want the community to be stretched over two servers.
Please realize that in 2007 you do NOT have:
- There will be NO rares (no santas, h'weens, p hats etc).
- Advanced Agility courses
- Stealing Creation
- LRC
- Summoning
- Dungeoneering
- Many other GREAT updates over the years.
I guess supporters of 2007 servers are aware of this all, but I just feel like people will only train up combat to PK when they feel like it.
There were also MANY MANY bugs and glitches, dupes, and other unfair cheats that were around at that time, who knows if Jagex has a list of all of them, or the resources to re-patch them pre-release.
A few drastic examples I was able to find from that time era are:
- Smuggling bandages into duel arena
- Invisible PK'ing
- Jullage
- Infinite Prayer
- Rune Armour dupe
- Invincibility bugs
If the server is being added as-is, those bugs will all be available for abuse. Seeing as all of them have been "patched", various videos on YouTube show how they were done. Bug abuse videomakers are already taking down their old "how-to" videos so they can abuse them again.
I will still probably vote FOR the servers to help try to get cheaper member fees for everyone who is interested in the 2007 server.
