i think that some of us are being a little rigid: not wanting to see jagex in anything but a negative light.
i, personally, am willing to entertain the possibility that they really are trying to respond to the voice of the people.
i will vote in the poll. regardless of which rs/ world i choose to play, the old school rs will offer much more flexibility to the spectrum of the community.

maybe we could, at least temporarily, suspend our expectation that jagex will always and ever be blind unresponsive pirates!
i say let's give them a chance.

I am willing to pay up $15.00/month for this, but in all honesty paying $7.95(member fee) + an additonal $15.00 for this? Come on Jagex... That is $22.95/month for RuneScape, lol that is more than my $19.99/month gym membership... Seems kind of rediculous. I will be honest though, if they really do charge that price I may just have to pay it. But that seems a bit absurd to say the least.

I would think they would charge the memby fee for the older version, and the aditional $15.00 fee for EoC. ;) Let's see how many support EoC then. heh.

TBH, we all wanted to go back to pre-eoc because we wanted to go back to how the old combat system was before Nov. 20th.

We don't want to restart again from lvl 3. Spending years on my account...i would have to say that i don't like this. How did us players wanting the old combat system back turn into going back to 2006/2007 servers....I thought this whole petition thing was for pre-eoc....Therefore i will vote no, but to all of u players out there. good luck.

I played in 2005.....so to you people reading this...i am not just some new noob that started playing 2-5 years ago and just complaining bout it.

Jagex you must not give in to those wanting stats/items transferred but keep it so all players start out at level 3!

Why?

- Fair Start
-Gives time for all players to contribute to the economy
- Encourages growth due to the rarity of items at the beginning
- Players are saying how many will quit due to the lack of items and trade but this will honestly teach players to be more patient and to value a positive economy since RS2's current one is over inflated.
- By transferring over items/stats you are basically adding "Discontinued Rares" in the sense that many players will make millions and even billions by using their skill/item advantage compared to others.

If you give players the opportunity to transfer items/stats you are allowing that effect to re-occur on this new retro server. Please don't allow the 07's economy to be effected by the transfer of player stats/items!

Guys, we're the worst community I've seen a game have. We beg, rant and throw tantrums until we get what we want. Then when we get what we ask for, we complain and cry some more. I'm glad Jagex listens, but I'm not glad that the community is still as unreasonable as ever.

Also we need to read the post before we ask questions, I'm pretty sure the majority of Rs players aren't illiterate.

In case I change my mind and do decide to start over if this goes through, I have a few questions:

Will double casting make a comeback? I don't remember what year it was removed, but it was no balance issue due to the delay the tactic made. If you are not certain of what I'm referring to then it's simple; a mage cast a slower spell such as ice blitz followed by a fast spell such as shadow barrage which made both spells hit at once if done at a suitable distance. This resulted in a slightly longer delay then usual for the next spell cast, if I'm remembering correctly.

My memory isn't that well on this one, but was this before or after the original wilderness was removed? If after, which version of bh was it-crators or worlds?

Believe magic to only be for support? Think again. It's just as valid of a Pking style as melee and range is.
