It's pathetic how much hate this is getting and this is what we ASKED FOR.
Those who are wishing for a later date don't really want 'old RS' back. They don't want to grind and deal with having to actually sell items. If you want the ease of access go back to the other servers?

2007 is one of the best eras of Runescape and a crowning achievement in Browser MMOs. It's the legendary era of Runescape when true PKing was king.

Some simple mathematics:

750k x 5 = 3.75 million

500k x 5 = 2.5 million

250k x 5 = 1.25 million

50k x 5 = 250 thousand

Well done Jagex, you have some very clever people working behind the scenes :D

My opinion on starting at level 3, I don't care because EVERYONE is equal. Don't complain about it being unfair just because you lose everything you can go to EOC and have what you have.

Since everyone is equal new things will be considered good? Worried you won't impress people with your collection of 99 capes? first month of 2007scape level 50+ stats will be considered excellent.

Remember we will all be equal before you *****.

While I commend Jagex for this effort, I think you have missed the point.
We Old-school players like 2007 for many reasons. However, over these years runescape has changed a lot, a quite a number of these are great.
While many of us may wamt a 2007 version, I don't think many would want a *omplete 2007, devoid of any updates since that time. For example, anti-scamming measures, a better user interface, (HD graphics as some like it), and all those added quests since 2007. It would be much better if you make a 2007 version, but complete with features that we would like.

Now for my complaint:
Of course you can add these through content updates, but this is highly unlikely. By only allowing members to vote the most you can get is 50k (theres is hardly 100k online these days). We free players might not be PAYING but some have played runescape for a LONG time. I played this game starting at 2006, know what 2007 is about and should have a say in this, let alone those starting at 2001 without paying anything. And with only 50k votes what would you get? A dumbed down version of runescape with no-so-user-friendly features, fewer quests, bugs that no one fixed, bots everywhere and overpriced fee which cannot be enjoyed by those who are not willing to pay. Even if I get optimistic 250k votes is the limit.
Not that I am a conspiracy theorist, but the voting system, and number of votes required and the features that come with level 1 and level 2 are ridiculous.
