love this idea so much, really jagex the update that has got most exited in 8 years of runescape.

i have a few questons though:
is this date before or after skill capes (will skill capes in the game)
is this date before summoning (i'd like summoning to be in the game)
will there be godwars, can see pvm getting boring with kalphite queen being the strongest boss with a drop.

would you ever consider updates like maybe putting in new bosses?

Have any of you read the FAQs? You won't be able to import your stats as they are now, or start from where your account was in 2007. You got to *tart all over again, from level 3, no cash, no items, nothing. I don't know if I want to spend another 5-7 years of my life getting all 99's again, I would play the current version of the game, but I can't stand EoC, which is why I had my mind on Pre-EoC servers, but Jagex already ruled them out, it's not going to happen. My runescape years are done. I had fun time with the Runescape Community over the years, and hope this update is successful for those who really want it. Farewell.

If a Pre-Grand exchange version of Runescape is brought back, I Promise you Jagex that my wife and I will become PAYING MEMBERS again!!!!! It was the game we originally signed up for in about 2004 and played DAILY!! Till the updates started coming like a freight train. Original Runescape was simple, pure and tons of fun.

Once again if you bring that back to me and my wife I will gladly hand over my Hard earned cash!!!!!!

@The people using the argument we lose nothing by voting yes. Despite what you seem to think, Jagex hiring staff to maintain the servers is a waste of resources that they could be focusing on fixing problems in the live game such as freedom, stuns, gambling.

Save yourself the breath, I played both 'old' rs and EoC , and I, along with countless others, still prefer EoC.

I don't understand why you would want to go back to before the days of GWD/Nex/g.e for some pking, in bad graphics, using luck to kill people, with no content updates... Can anybody say boring?

What happens when bots and those loser h/c hosts find their way over to 07scape? Once everybody has 85+ slayer and the markets are controlled by clans. At that point you may as well be playing the EoC.

I will be voting no in whichever manner possible.

Are you ********? For $20 bucks a month they can hire a few new staff to run things. It won't take many to maintain and unchanging server and for the cost of playing 07-scape, they can afford to hire some new stuff. Don't grief everyone who wants the old game back. Look at it this way, I'm paying $7 a month for a game I'm unsatisfied with, in both where it is and where it is going. If I want the old game and am willing to pay for it, then I have the right to do so. If you seriously think RS2 coming back will hinder 2012's EoC-scape then I won't even bother with people like you. Also, I would gladly just leave Jagex's broken game and go play on a private server where this game is completely unaffected by it's existence, but Jagex won't let any private servers to run under their own power (meaning the owner of the server is paying to up-keep it).

First off they said they are gonna try and make it so you can transfer your account over or you can choose to start fresh its your choice. And if they can't get transfer to work then you will have to just start over which is totally fine with me.

I have done tons of stuff since 2007 but I am still willing to dedicate time to the old server when I am bored on EoC.
