I dont this is a bright idea. Split your kingdom up Jagex? I came back to see what this update was about. I heard about this new combat system too!

If this new combat system is so frowned by people all over runescape, then there should be a poll about that. So sorry about the money lost and time spent on this combat system, but mistakes are made, then again, this new combat system could mean a new beginning!

I would like to see the old combat system because that is all I know, but maybe the old combat system is, well, OLD! I will check this out then think about voting and resubscribing again....

Please be careful with sudden decisions and huge updates like this, or runescape will be knowned as the worlds most popular mmorpg that ended because of sudden horrid decisions....

Awesome! I'd love to see the return of the 2007 server.

As a DIYer I have no problem starting over again. But what I'm looking forward to more is the 40+ friends who are prepared to return to Runescape again on a 2007 server (some have already restarted membership to vote, they consider it a small price to pay for the opportunity to return of the game and community they loved). Runescape for us was skilling, DIYing, *uests, etc while enjoying a social and friendly communiity.

Just out of interest I looked at some of the bigger updates we wouldn't have:
- no GWD - back to camping out at dusties for dchains and barrows for gear
- no g.e. - use the resources collected or for non-diyers the return of w2 fally and varrock market/trade hubs
- no ZMI alter - back to abyssal rcing (pkers used to like hanging out there too)
- no summoning - while I like summoning I have played Runescape without it and could do so again.
- no SoF or Solomons - Yes!!! Bonus!!!!

It will be interesting to see how the voting goes starting Feb 15th.

Hi Mark,

I think you should let your payers decide what they want in the game.
You could open a section on this forum for old players asking them what kind of updates they want to see and what kind they don't want.

For exemple.
Old players don't want Evolution of Combat but they do want the possibility to choose HD graphics or SD graphics.
We want new quests, but we don't want our actual quests to be remodeled
We love new content but... Not everything like ''Squeel of fortune'' or ''Dice'' or ''Grand Exchange'' which ruins the game. I actually believe GE is a great thing but, it ruins the principe of working hard to get and sell your stuff. Which makes the game harder and I love to play hardcore. Well, at least it's not on a minecraft survival server ! HA !

Oooh and last thing, with 50 000 vote we should be able to have one or two update a year...

The only part that stinks will be starting over. The price is a little steep after all we have already paid for this once...lol. it is like paying for a car you already bought years ago. you cannot play both games at once so why a charge regardless . Minor
