Over half the questions being asked on here could be answered if they read the topic.


OT: I will support this older version of runescape because i miss actually working for something in rs again, but if we have to pay the additional 15$, then no i won't be playing.

If you go to the easiest skill, and check the last page on hiscores, there are only around 540k members. I mean sure there are a little bit more than that below 15 cooking(2.4k xp), but they are most likely all trials/bots/ppl ******** enough to vote and obviously 99% of the last 100k never played in 07 so wont even vote.

I'd say even reaching 500k votes is a stretch but 750k member votes(not including trials), is literally impossible AS OF NOW, and voting starts friday.

Also, many people that cancelled membs this year due to EoC still have to be removed from the hiscores so count them out. Mix that with goldfarming bots, trial accounts, people that never cancel their mems, etc.... There are less than 350k active members

so I guess this means we will have to pay 5+ 7.95= 12.95$ to play a 2007 server with completely reset stats/bank. Is jagex serious? I think they thought they were in trouble after posting the "Old and new" topic and then wanted to make this either highly profitable or nearly impossible.

As much as I enjoyed "old school" and as much as I hate EOC now, I still would not play "old school" for the sheer fact that we're being forced to start from scratch. If this is the case, then I might as well play classic which is free and I get to start off from scratch. We wanted to be able to play like back in the day WITH our current account, not with an account that we'll have to spend another 5 years of our lives to max out. That's ridiculous. Also, I believe it is unfair that only members are eligible for voting seeing as half of the community cancelled their memberships as soon as EOC came out. You're better off opening the vote to everyone who has purchased membership for at least a month, this seems more viable. I will be voting and expressing my opinion, but I will not be playing "old school". Not worth my time having two completed accounts. I like the fact of having different saving options for the two different servers. It should be sort of as when EOC beta was out where we could take our main account and items to the beta and use them. That's how it should be in the new server. Except once the main account has been imported into the other server, no more updates can be made from the main game to the "old school" server. That is to say, you import your account once and with those stats and items is where you will start in "old school". Newer items such as nex gear and such should be converted into gp seeing as we won't be able to use any of it and of course, newer skills such as dungeoneering will be null but at least we will be able to retain our money and skills in both servers. That's the only way I will play in the "old school" server.

It's pretty cool that were going to get back Rs how we like it everyone wants that :) but I have to say that starting from lvl 3 and all skills level 1 that is some big bs because all the time we dedicated to get our levels up and are 99s!!if we start from the beginning all over again then were not really veterans let our existing accounts be able to play in the old servers
By the way it should be fair just like you( jagex)didn't make everyone start from lvl 3 and they all had to start from fresh, when the failed eoc was realesed now be fair and let us keep our status and our 99s that we worked so hard for!!
To tell you the truth we are the ones that should be saying what should come in the 2007 servers not you guys jagex let us choose for once

I think the best part is starting from scratch. The opportunities will be endless, and everyone will have an even playing field. It was be glorious. The first to 85 slayer, the first to barrows, the first to herblore, the firsts that will be had, and the fact that the economy could go an entirely different way. That's the most fun. Personally, I DON'T think rares should be re-introduced for 2 reasons. 1. is that in 2007, they said they wouldn't release any rares. To keep with the theme here, it would make sense NOT to. But more importantly, it would ruin and otherwise fairly balanced economy. Rares would kill it early on.
