MOAR money! This is obviously jagex latest ploy to suck more money from the players. Pay extra to have old style gameplay and no updates. How speeeecial.

IMO, the game is not worth 1/2 of what they are currently charging. And that includes f2p - where 1/2 of nothing is.....

I'm VERY close to signing up just to vote for that!! I had actually given up even browsing but the number of Twitter and Facebook posts about it led me here and holy crap there is a hive of locked threads and talk about it!

I'll wait for the poll to be posted to get the terms and conditions etc etc but this really does sound truly epic!

This is the best thing that has happened to runescape since 2007. I don't see how you could not want this to happen... Unless you have started playing after the stupid updates that have slowly destroyed runescape, then you will agree with me that old runescape was much more fun. Who cares if you have to start over or whatever, its the fact that the old game we knew and loved has a chance to come back.

Of course Jagex would make it a members only vote.
With Jagex being as money hungry that they are, they expect us to spend (X amount) x 50k+ people to rite a wrong that they themselves created. I would go as far to say to compensate for drastic membership declines but the reason doesn't matter. We will not pay for democracy.

i have a question, if you are going to charge the additional $5 or $15 w/e, will there be like a special runescape membership card which allows you to play the old servers with the extra sum of money or will you have to pay for it via any bank card?

Those of you saying that you won't vote because the current game will not continue to expand... You obviously did not read the entire post.

Jagex will still continue with its plans for the current game, NO MATTER WHAT comes of this poll. Abstaining from voting is only hurting your fellow RuneScapers who have been playing this game just as you have been. Many of the people who want this are probably good friends who stopped playing and would gladly return with this change.

Consider voting in this even if you personally won't play. I know I would appreciate your support. I want to play RuneScape again, but cannot continue to in its current state. It is just my preference and I hope everyone understands people who have this preference.
