I have a few concerns with this.
1. Allocating resources to an old version of Runescape would be unwise. I think that Jagex should keep all of its focus on the present version in order to maximize its performance and entertainment. The thought of updates to the current version being **unted because of under-staffing is appalling.
2. The notion of resurrecting a ghost of the current Runescape to appease unhappy players is ridiculous. The most important goal, as mentioned before, is to make the best game possible for all players, and that cannot happen if we live in the past. An effective analogy to this subject would be the interaction between a friend and I:
:My friend is one who makes alternate accounts, with a main account that is more regularly used. He is constantly disdained by my improvements, as I have achieved significantly more than he has on his main account. I always tell him that the reason is because I focus on one account, thus progressing at a much higher and efficient rate than he:
Another important note to make is that: players who complain will ALWAYS complain. I took to reading a few replies sent by other players, and found that, once again, they were unhappy with Jagex's decision to recreate a 2007 version; they want a 2009 version instead. I have come to the conclusion that, no matter what Jagex does, there will ALWAYS be players who do not like where the game is going.
3. A word about your poll: Please ensure that your poll is 100% accurate. I remember back when you polled for the return of the wilderness and free trade that several players made it possible for them to vote several times. While I voted for the return, I found it unfair for those who did not want to see it return.
PLEASE MAKE SURE that there are no ways for players to vote MORE THAN ONCE. That being through false accounts created specifically to vote again, or otherwise.
