@Ring 0f GTL - The Voting Rights Act of 1965 is a landmark ....
---------------------

Some mod do us all a favor and give this guy a time-out from the forums. He keeps spamming the same long comment. It's a law that applies to federal elections, in the U.S. Posting it here may be the single stupidest thing I've seen on the forums this year.

Personally, I think it's a bad idea to take time away from the staff to work on maintaining older servers. They've already said the SoF and SGS were implemented to help fund a larger team and bigger projects. Why *ake away time and effort from the live main game to dedicate a server for people who are dissatisfied with the state of the current game, rather than just improving the current game even more to try and bring these people back? It doesn't make sense to me. And before anyone says anything; I've been playing since about 2005, and I personally am against this.

The fact that I have to start over is a real downer, I'm perfectly fine with giving up my bank, but giving up my 99's? :( I still majorly support! Is there any chance of this 2007 version of the game replacing EOC? For example if more people played "007 Scape ;) " than EOC then I think we should be able to implement our accounts back into 2007 scape

Why are people saying that starting from level 3 and a complete economy reset will stop people from playing? Honestly, that will be what draws a lot of people to the game. Everybody starting at the same level and watching the players, economy, and game grow will be so exciting and fun.

People who pay membership drive the game.

People who quit because of silly things voting for something that effects everything? No.

If you want to vote for something so major, you need to spend some money to be able to have a say.

I'm paying (have been forever) and I'm voting yes. If you want to vote, pay.

The Voting Rights Act of 1965 is a landmark piece of national legislation in the United States that outlawed discriminatory voting practices...
Echoing the language of the 15th Amendment, the Act prohibits states from imposing any "voting qualification or prerequisite to voting, or standard, practice, or procedure ... to deny or abridge the right of any citizen of the United States to vote"(W*kipedia).

Dear Jagex, How can you allow members to vote, and not those who have paid for membership for years? Are you thus discriminating against our opinions in hope that this will not be brought back? Jagex is not giving everyone a fair chance to vote, not only that, but those who get to vote are only of 200,000 or less. Now what makes you think all of them are going to vote Yes? Not all of them are in favor of Old Runescape. Please Jagex give your loyal players a chance to vote. This is not fair for everyone and you guys know it.

I don't care if they don't abide by the U.S. laws, how is this fair in any way?
Give the players a chance to express their opinions without paying to vote!!

Is Jagex that concerned about getting memberships? If they just released the game, didn't waste peoples time to vote then people would spend money and buy the membership. What fun will it be if EVERYONE is a member? I miss the old F2P days, but I guess its going to be just P2P.

Let Everyone VOTE!!!
