The Voting Rights Act of 1965 is a landmark piece of national legislation in the United States that outlawed discriminatory voting practices...
Echoing the language of the 15th Amendment, the Act prohibits states from imposing any "voting qualification or prerequisite to voting, or standard, practice, or procedure ... to deny or abridge the right of any citizen of the United States to vote"(W*kipedia).

Dear Jagex, How can you allow members to vote, and not those who have paid for membership for years? Are you thus discriminating against our opinions in hope that this will not be brought back? Jagex is not giving everyone a fair chance to vote, not only that, but those who get to vote are only of 200,000 or less. Now what makes you think all of them are going to vote Yes? Not all of them are in favor of Old Runescape. Please Jagex give your loyal players a chance to vote. This is not fair for everyone and you guys know it.

I don't care if they don't abide by the U.S. laws, how is this fair in any way?
Give the players a chance to express their opinions without paying to vote!!

Is Jagex that concerned about getting memberships? If they just released the game, didn't waste peoples time to vote then people would spend money and buy the membership. Paying an extra $15 on top of the *7.50 for membership is quite ridiculous. The main reason I never played WoW because it was so expensive to pay per month! I disagree with you Jagex, Give people what they want! You should be the ones to blame for this incompetent EoC. Also, what fun will it be if EVERYONE is a member? I miss the old F2P days, but I guess its going to be just P2P.

I remember it with passion, however i'm not going to play on it.
I like the way the game envolved, everything needs to go on.
Good luck.

If free to play players could vote, one person could just make 750k accounts for free and vote yes on all of them, they would have to pay 6 million dollars to get that many member accounts to vote on. I'm not saying someone would actually make all those accounts but they might make like 50, which would be 50 votes from 1 person. Few people are going to spend money to get a few more members accounts just for a few votes. Also, MMG said if there was overwhelming support, which there is, 750k would be reached. If they open it to F2P it will be like attempt #1 on free trade vote.

I'm putting faith into the other players of this game to support this idea for me. I'm not paying 8 dollars just to vote in a poll.

The "we are a business" stuff is bunk.

You're going to make money off of this no matter which way it goes.

And so you bring out the poll with an unreasonable goal, you don't tell us how many members there are currently and you say we would need to pay $15 extra to get the worst maintenance while free would get the best maintenance. That doesn't even make sense.
