@Strat Varius - I don't mind starting from scratch at all, that's a huge aspect i'm looking forward to :P I'm willing to put aside everything my account currently has in order to start again with the old game

Wow this is amazing! I love the EoC but its always nice to think back to the time when everything was different. This shows how Jagex cares about players and doesn't want to force anything on us. Thank you guys for this opportunity to look back to the past and experience it once again, defiantly a support.

JAGEX TAKE NOTE: There MUST be some way to restore at least SOME of your stats. Please for the love of god it would make it so perfect. Starting over from scratch to those of us who had many maxed stats at that time frame is going to be so disheartening. It's like when your a kid and your parents finally get you a dog but its too friendly and bites the neighbor and she has it euthanized.

Seriously lets look at runecrafting: This was the HARDEST and LONGEST skill to train back in the day. I managed to get to 91 sometime in 06 and maxed all my combat stats in 07 or late 06. It was such a tremendous time sink to max out it took months... not to mention having to redo all those quests.

Jagex please have some sort of stat retaining option. Whether it be available for a fee (i would pay 30 or $40) or to switch your profile from EoC to 07 scape, thus deleting your EoC profile to retain all your current stats in the 07 version of the game if you so wish.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE at least think hard about that last paragraph. It will bring in vital MONEY to your company if you go the pay for stat retaining option and will keep people interested in the older version of the game if they can come into the 07 version of the game with an 07 version of their character. Heck you could even make it so you retain combat stats only + 1 skill of your choice and i'd still be so down.

I just honestly see this flopping if we really do start from scratch. Within 6 months it will have barely anymore players than RSC. Do what you did when Rs2 come out and give that same option to permanently switch or keep your player profile between whichever version. :D

THE ONLY BS I FIND HERE IS THAT. You need members to vote when it should be "as long as you used to be a member at some point you can vote"

A lot of people quit because EOC and forcing them to become members jus* to VOTE is *tupid. Jagax stop making money your #1 priority. Not even Walmart does that! Put yourself in the players audiances shoes for once. You can learn that in a simple business communications class... What is wrong with you guys??? SERIOUSLY

well personally I love eoc, however im all for giving the community who love the old version of the game something they can enjoy. i find it funny however hard they try some people cant be pleased either way by what jagex do, they have listened and acted what more do you want? hopefully this works and im sure ill give it a go myself ;)

Why members only? Members don’t represent all interested potential players...

Our current members are the ones we know for sure are committed to RuneScape and have the biggest stake in our future. If a member votes, we have a high confidence they’ll follow through, as they actively play and pay for RuneScape already. Another reason is that a members' poll run using our own systems is something we can do securely, completely trusting the validity of the result.

what for al the ones that did quit thier member ship when you guys pushed through this update, i have been playing on difrent acounts from rs clasic, i represent atleast 14 characters on the member lists witch i had member on about 4 to 5 at a time,
wich members i stopped on the day you pushed through the oec update,,
yes im playing on a runescape 2006 private server, but if thered come back a server id rather have it with around the 5 dolar fee, id hapely pay that 3 or 4 times for my main and some scouts,

so once again what for the ppl that quit runescape and went private servers the style they wich to play,

oh and guys suprice them whith another 1m votes !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
